The storied brand introduced one of its most influential creations in 1812 - the Classique pocket watch. With its revolutionary off-centered dial and open-tipped hands, the Classique eschewed the prevailing baroque aesthetic by pioneering a neoclassical style that would become synonymous with Breguet.

After over two hundred years, the Classique's elegant minimalism and visual balance remains alluring as ever. Paying homage to this icon of horology, Breguet has unveiled the Classique Calendrier 7337 - a contemporary reinterpretation of the original classic.

At the watch's core lies the all-new Calibre 502 movement, measuring just 2.4mm thick. This slim profile belies the robust mechanics within, including a 45-hour power reserve, inverted lever escapement, and silicon balance-spring. The self-winding movement delivers performance and resilience in a remarkably slender package.

Breguet's new rendition is refined, understated, and pure; it is unmistakably modern without sacrificing its aesthetic roots. The watch does undoubtedly display the brand's many decorative talents. A very exquisite Clous de Paris hobnail guilloché pattern that was hand-engraved on a rose engine by the company's artisans adorns the dial's off-center position. The clouds that surround the hand-hammered gold moon have been finely sandblasted with a matte finish. Depending on the angle from which the clock is viewed, the sky is covered with a blue lacquer made of spangles that subtly reveals the stars.

While the layout adheres to the minimalist Classique style, Breguet's artisans have introduced refined contemporary touches. A Clous de Paris guilloché pattern covers the dial, engraved using the brand's historic rose engine technique. The calendar displays at 2 and 10 o'clock feature enlarged apertures for optimal legibility.

Available in 18K white or rose gold, the Classique Calendrier 7337 melds old and new, reviving an iconic Breguet design for the modern era. Both loyal enthusiasts and new admirers can appreciate the watchmaking artistry distilled into this neoclassical revival.

In recent times, Breguet is not getting the due credit it deserves. The 7337 for instance, is by far one of the most coveted complicated dress watches in the premium watch category. The caliber to begin with , 502.3 QSEI architecturally dates back to the 70’s and could easily be compared to the likes of Vacheron Constantin’s 2450 and even the caliber that today beats inside a Saxonia. All in all the Breguet Classique Calendrier 7337 truly is a classic.
