With everyone gearing up for Dubai Watch Week 2021, their agenda of hosting horology forums, masterclasses, and creative hub always taps on the inquisitive nerve of every watch enthusiast.
The Creative Hub of Dubai Watch Week 2021 facilitates discussions and exchanges aimed at fostering creativity, championing innovation, and celebrating the industry. From community-oriented presentations to new product debuts, the sessions cover a wide range of topics focused on inspiring ideas and sharing information. The Creative Hub has hosted several limited-edition watch debuts, UAE limited editions, regional and global premieres over the years. All the sessions of the Creative Hub will take place from 24th-28th November at The Gate, DIFC.
Here are a few sessions that we are looking forward to:
1. Breitling Reaches New Heights
Happening on 24th November from 2:30- 4:30 PM (10:30 AM- 12:30 PM GMT)
Join Breitling CEO Georges Kern as he discusses the brand’s latest innovations, including the debut of a new range in the Middle East. The latest addition to the brand line-up is inspired by the original 1953 “Co-Pilot” Ref. 765 AVI, which celebrates aviation history with modern-retro design.
You’ll also get to look around the rest of the collection, which includes the Breitling Top Time Classic Cars Capsule Collection, which pays homage to classic sports cars from the 1960s, as well as several Boutique Limited Edition, which will be seen for the first time in the Middle East. Taking place on the 24th of November, you shouldn’t miss out on this one.
2. The Launch of Urwerk’s New UR-100
Happening on 26th November from 4:30-5:30 PM (12:30-1:30 PM GMT)
Discover how URWERK never ceases to amaze by combining historic knowledge with innovative design on the 26th of November. This time, it’s with the UR-100.
URWERK creates one-of-a-kind modern and sophisticated watches that meet the highest standards of fine watchmaking: independent design and development, advanced materials, and handcrafted finishing. Chief designer Martin Frei, URWERK co-founder, handles the unique styling of each URWERK model.
3. Watchbox Presents: The Collectability Conversation
Happening on 28th November from 2:00-3:00 PM (10:00-11:00 AM GMT)
Intangible interest, market worth, encyclopedic knowledge, mono-brand scholarship, and a common passion with these mechanical works of art are what you should expect from this session.
Join WatchBox’s Tim Mosso and Mike Manjos, Alp Sever of Langepedia, Mohammed Seddiqi, and collectors from around the world for an open discussion on the changing nature of collectability. Get a fresh perspective on what motivates us, and we’ll open our eyes to what motivates you. This session will take place on the 28th of November.
4. A Worldwide Avant-Premier: Unique And Authentic
Happening on 28th November from 4:30-5:30 PM (12:30-1:30 PM GMT)
Louis Moinet in a worldwide preview will unveil ASTRONEF, a super watch built on unique technology and integrating three world premieres.
This session will also give you the opportunity to learn about the world’s first chronograph, discovered in 2012 by Jean-Marie Schaller, CEO of Louis Moinet. Louis Moinet could rewrite watchmaking history with this amazing timepiece receiving two Guinness World records.
Louis Moinet’s works are divided into two categories: ‘Cosmic Art’ and ‘Mechanical Wonders,’ and they frequently use unusual and unique elements such as extraterrestrial meteorites and prehistoric materials. This event is scheduled to take place on 28th November.
