A trio of 39-mm Baumatic versions to carry forward the spirit of the Riviera
The athletic sport-lifestyle-inspired case shape not only exhibits a distinctive watchmaking tradition but demonstrates the design expertise of Baume & Mercier. The carefree and recreational impression of the new timepieces launched at Watches and Wonders 2023 for the first time in 39-mm features a distinctive dodecagonal shape with twelve sides and four screws.
The trademark Baumatic manufacture movement powers these models and the caliber has been a testament to precision timekeeping for the manufacture since 2017. The smoked sapphire dial of the Riviera serves as a peak into the movement.
The first iteration of the 39mm watch is the Riviera M0A10714, which is crafted in polished and satin-finished stainless steel, distinguished by a smoked blue sapphire dial with a transparent wave transfer decoration. An easy interchangeable strap system alternates the wearer’s preferences of an integrated blue rubber and alligator strap with tone-on-tone overstitching.
The second model, Riviera M0A10715, exhibits a smoked gray sapphire dial with a transparent wave transfer decoration and an integrated strap with three rows of polished and satin-finished links.
The final variation, the Riviera M0A10720, features a sand-blasted titanium bezel with a central bezel ring in 5N gold-plated PVD steel. For the dial, a smoked gray sapphire disc with a transparent wave transfer decoration steals the show. The watch is mounted on an integrated gray rubber strap with a canvas texture.
Aquatic to depths of up to 10 ATM, each of the three models is powered by the 120-hour or five-day power reserve Baumatic manufacture movement with 1500 Gauss of solid resistance against everyday magnetic fields.

A duo of the Riviera Azur 300m watches resonates the aquatic and adventurous spirit of the French Riviera

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the 42-mm stainless steel case Riviera Azur 300m watches launched at Watches and Wonders take a plunge off the coast of the French Riviera, with the latest iteration, the timepiece reinvents itself while upholding the integrity of the stylistic codes that built its reputation.
Riviera Azur 300m – A companion in every leisure activity
The new Riviera Azur 300m is water-resistant to 30 ATM – 300 meters, or 984 ft – and is available in two versions. The undeniable aquatic appeal of the watches is impactfully sporty. The two iterations of the collection, the models M0A10716 and M0A10717 feature a unidirectional rotating bezel in polished and sun-satin stainless steel. A first-of-its-kind lacquered treatment (blue or black) marks the gradation of the first fifteen minutes. Befitting lifestyles which resonate the oceanic adventures, the Riviera Azur 300m is well suited for swimming, jet-skiing, sailing, snorkeling, or surfing.
Among the many nuances, the watch bezel is equipped with a blue or black anodized aluminum ring to guarantee optimal use and precise handling. Its luminescent indexes are coated in SuperLuminova to increase its underwater visibility.
The aesthetic highlights on each of the blue or black dial variations in smoked blue or gray sapphire depict a transparent wave decoration carving an irresistible allure to cherish a refreshing dip in the sea. The smoked sapphire dials offer a glimpse of the Baume & Mercier in-house movement mechanisms.
The brand’s love for design is highlighted by the unprecedented shape of the new hour and minute hands, featuring a partial coating of beige-colored SuperLuminova on the blue model and gray-colored SuperLuminova on the black model.
Each timepiece is powered by the manufactured Baumatic five-day power reserve movement, offering tried-and-true performance with a daily precision of -4 s / +6 s, and magnetic resistance of up to 1500 Gauss.
Suitable for aquatic endeavors, both new Riviera Azur 300m watches are water-resistant to 300 meters thanks to a wider screwed crown and a crown cover that perfectly doubles as a shock-resistance feature for the case.
These sports models are mounted on a strong, reliable “Fast Strap” interchangeability system steel or rubber strap for a variety of looks and purposes.
