Haim Watch Co. is poised to make waves in 2024 with the launch of its inaugural Legacy Automatic timepiece. Featuring a custom-designed movement and an array of stunning dials, the Legacy Automatic brings haute horlogerie craftsmanship to a more accessible price point. 

The Dark Cobalt dial is an elegant navy blue, with a guilloche center that appears to move as light dances across its surface. Applied silver Breguet numerals and accents pop against the deep blue. The Burgundy Tux dial is the first “tuxedo” style dial for Haim, combining a rich burgundy guilloche center with the silver outer track. The contrast provides excellent legibility along with visual flair.

But the true showstopper is the "Stargazer" variant, which introduces the celestial beauty of aventurine to the Haim lineup. Aventurine, known as the "stone of chance", is a rare and captivating material prized by watchmakers for its glittering inclusions that resemble a starry night sky. Derived from quartz and mica, the sparkling specks are copper fragments that reflect light dramatically. 

The manufacturing process is extremely delicate, as the crystalline structure of the stone can fracture easily. As Haim notes, "several dials get destroyed in the process." This makes aventurine dials costly to produce and highly desirable.

By offering an aventurine dial at a relatively modest $1550, Haim Watch Co. brings the splendor of the cosmos to the wrist's reach. The deep blue "Stargazer" dial is studded with shimmering flecks that evoke glimmering stars, complemented by elegant silver Breguet numerals. The overall aesthetic is both classic and contemporary, at home with a tuxedo or a T-shirt. 

Beyond the dial, the Legacy Automatic features plenty of horological highlights. The 38mm titanium case with exhibition back provides a glimpse at Haim's new HWC-01 movement, fully assembled in the US. Details like the guilloche dials, domed sapphire crystal, and "Cow Horn" style lugs add further appeal.
