Audemars Piguet Launches Seven New Code 11.59’s For 2024
Introduced in 2019, the Code 11.59 got some mixed reactions from AP fans and enthusiasts alike. Back then with13 initial models and 3 fresh movements, the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet signaled the beginning of an Audemars Piguet collection characterized by a blend of intricate engineering and modern design.
Instantly recognizable design elements: a geometrically intricate case featuring an octagonal midsection nestled between a caseback and an ultra-thin circular bezel; a dual-curved sapphire crystal providing a unique visual perspective; sleek lugs, with their upper portion fused to the bezel and their lower part symmetrically aligned with the caseback; and a raised gold logo crafted through a galvanic process, the Code 11.59 today gets all the love from the watch world.
Today, five years after its launch, the Code 11.59 has introduced a variety of sizes, materials, colours and complications, all with a highly contemporary design with seven new references that incorporate the new aesthetic introduced in 2023 on the first stainless steel timepieces.
Available in Selfwinding or Selfwinding Chronograph versions, these new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet timepieces in 18-carat pink gold feature the “signature” embossed dial pattern specially created for the collection by the Audemars Piguet design team in collaboration with Swiss guilloché craftsman Yann von Kaenel.
The two new 38 mm Self-winding references come in radically opposed shades of blue, creating an elegant contrast with the geometrical 18-carat pink gold case, whose multifaceted architecture is enhanced by the refined alternation of satin brushing and polishing. Both models are fitted with large-scale square alligator straps that match the colour of the dials, creating a vibrant two-tone look.
The new Self-winding and Self-winding Chronograph models in 41 mm also feature striking two-tone designs, pairing 18-carat pink gold with dials and straps available in "Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50", green or black tones.
The two-tone design of the black Self-winding Chronograph reference continues on the case, which combines 18-carat pink gold elements with an octagonal black ceramic case middle and crown for a powerful contrast.
