Breguet Dazzles With Two New Models Of The Classique Tourbillon 3558
The holidays are a time of magic, sparkle, and celebration, and Montres Breguet is capturing that festive spirit in horological form this year. As 2023 draws to a close, the esteemed Swiss brand is unveiling the Classique Tourbillon 3358 - two tourbillon timepieces that are truly a celestial spectacle for the wrist.
In an occasion worthy of champagne toasts, Breguet pays tribute to its heritage as the inventor of the ingenious tourbillon in 1801. The new watches take inspiration from star-filled winter nights, with a shower of diamonds evoking glistening snowflakes or the luminous Milky Way.
The Classique Tourbillon 3358 in 18k white gold embraces a wintry aesthetic, with its deep blue mother-of-pearl dial festooned with over 70 diamonds. Their abstract shape evokes falling snow, glistening in the glow of streetlights. Tiny applied gold stars, some accented with diamonds, twinkle like the night sky peeking through the clouds.
At 6 o'clock, the watch's namesake tourbillon emerges, framed by a polished aperture. It is traversed by a shooting star-shaped bar comprising 45 diamonds in an icy snow setting. The contrast of the mechanism's anthracite gray bridges and the shimmering diamonds is a study in holiday elegance.
Meanwhile, the second 18k rose gold iteration dial dazzles with over 280 diamonds, achieved using a combination of snow settings and precise individual settings. This symphony of gems swirls out from the center in abstract patterns, calling to mind the flurries of crystals blown about by winter winds. The natural white mother-of-pearl adds a subtle luster within the off-centered chapter ring at 12 o'clock.
Both models feature the full suite of Breguet watchmaking signatures: the idiosyncratic Arabic numerals, blued steel Breguet hands, and unique serial number at 4 o'clock. Powering the watches is the Calibre 187D, a finely decorated hand-wound tourbillon movement with 50 hours of power reserve.
For an added touch of holiday elegance, the cases are bordered with diamonds, from the bezel to the lugs and crown. The sapphire caseback provides a window into the movement, including a hand-engraved baseplate.
With these dazzling and limited edition Classique Tourbillon watches, Breguet encapsulates the magic and allure of the season, perfect for celebrating in style. Like snowflakes captured on your wrist or stars plucked from the heavens, the new timepieces are sure to make spirits bright.
