Bulgari Timepieces Take Center Stage at Rose - The Watch Bar's Rendez-Vous

The iconic Rendez-Vous at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai provided a fittingly luxurious setting for Rose The Watch Bar's most recent event on September 16, 2023. The evening brought together watch enthusiasts to admire Bulgari's new Octo Roma collection and commemorate 75 years of the Serpenti.

The Octo Roma takes inspiration from renowned designer Gerald Genta, who created the distinctive octagonal shape of the watch. The new Gerald Genta tribute models are crafted with Italian flair, from the monochromatic Octo Roma Quantieme Perpetual to the Octo Roma Monete embedded with coins on the dial. Other highlights like the Octo Roma Jumping Hours to the green-dialed Octo Roma demonstrated Bulgari's knack for complex watchmaking.

The Octo Roma collection for 2023, put a spotlight on time-and-date and chronograph models for the first time. Though sharing the Octo lineage, the Octo Roma exudes a more refined elegance versus the sportier Octo Finissimo with its softer lines and angles. The new collection adds visual intrigue through textured Clous de Paris dials in shades of blue, black, white or anthracite. While Bulgari extends its watchmaking prowess with new Octo Roma tourbillons, this collection refresh captures the brand's essence - blending technical mastery with contemporary Italian design across versatile models for day or night. The time-and-date and chronograph references deliver coveted complications in Bulgari's signature style, continuing the Octo Roma's evolution.

Alongside the modern Octo Roma designs, Bulgari displayed Serpenti watches spanning 75 years of the collection's history. Vintage diamond-encrusted models and contemporary sequin-set versions showed how the snake motif has evolved over time while remaining an iconic symbol of the Roman jewelry house.
