Richemont has announced a significant leadership change at one of its most prestigious maisons. Catherine Rénier, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Jaeger-LeCoultre, will take the helm as CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels, effective September 1, 2024.

Catherine Rénier, a French national with over two decades of experience in the jewelry and luxury watchmaking industry, will succeed Nicolas Bos in this role. Bos, who was recently appointed as Richemont's CEO, will now oversee Rénier in her new position.

The appointment marks a return to Van Cleef & Arpels for Rénier, who previously worked at the maison from 2003 to 2018. During her tenure there, she held various positions, including Deputy Marketing Manager in Paris and later as President for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.

Rénier's career at Richemont began in 1999 when she joined Cartier North America as Retail Development Director in New York. Her most recent role as CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, which she has held since 2018, saw her build a strong leadership team and establish a clear, differentiated positioning for the brand.

Nicolas Bos expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment, stating, "Catherine brings the perfect mix of experience and leadership skills to the role, which, coupled with her deep knowledge of the Maison, will enable her to ensure Van Cleef & Arpels long-term success."

In light of Rénier's move, Philippe Hermann, Chief Financial Officer at Jaeger-LeCoultre, will step in as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is announced.

This leadership change comes at a time of continued growth and innovation in the luxury sector, with Richemont positioning its brands for future success in an evolving market landscape.
