Apart from the stunning lineup of events taking place at the creative hub and horological forums, here are just a few activities and launches that we are really looking forward to!
MB&F x Bvlgari
What happens when you mix Roman exuberance with Swiss horological creativity? When we talk about MB&F and Bvlgari as watch brands, the most common link would be creativity & entrepreneurship at its peak. This time, they have come together for a unique launch only at Dubai Watch Week 2021. Clearly is is something for the ladies and we can't wait to get our hands on it! Stay tuned for this launch on November 24th as we bring you live updates right here.
Aramedes Brand Launch
The first-ever Swiss watch brand with an Islamic function! Do we have your attention? Get ready for a global launch of Aramedes only at Dubai Watch Week 2021 on 27th November. ARAMEDES was formed with the goal of bringing the delicate enchantment of vintage watches into the digital age.
Their timepieces have the world's first Islamic complications. These classically designed clocks have three highly unusual functions that are only conceivable because of their one-of-a-kind combination of traditional mechanical watchmaking and innovative technology. Sounds intriguing...
A new Girard Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux has been a part of the elite Swiss Haute Horlogerie for almost a century, and is a master of craftsmanship and highly exact designs. The Girard-Perregaux symbol is discretely interwoven into each clock, utilising distinctive shapes, materials, diamonds, engravings, and more. Every piece is made in the brand's Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the epicenter of Swiss watchmaking.
This year marks the 230th anniversary of the Maison. Girard-growing Perregaux's international presence has opened the path for innovation, creativity, and expansion over the years. Watch out for their new watch launch at Dubai Watch Week 2021.
Christie’s Exhibitions and Lectures
Enjoy an exciting series of expert lectures, exhibitions, and activities brought to you by Christie’s. The exhibitions will showcase various watch collections of distinguished private collectors from Asia and Middle-East.
Are you torn between managing your kid while also wanting to attend Dubai Watch Week? An exciting activity for kids to unleash their creative potential is planned. Kids aged 7-14 years can indulge in learning how to construct an auction catalogue whilst you attend talks and launches from industry experts and collectors alike.
Back by popular demand, Christie’s will yet again host an auction for mini-sellers and pint-sized-bidders where kids can select an object which will first go into an auction catalog before heading over to an auction room where a Christie’s auctioneer will start the bidding process. If you think adults get competitive at the big watch auctions, they are nothing compared to these game players!
FOOSBALL!
While kids may have to wait their turn while Maximilian Büsser and Georges Kern play air hockey in the gaming area, the fact remains that there IS a legitimate gaming area complete with foosball, the aforementioned air hockey, and more; a first for Dubai Watch Week.
Masterclasses
Enjoy a hands-on class where experts and artisans will teach you how to make your first mechanical watch movement, paint a small dial, or learn the traditional technique of enamelling. From Drawing with Light to Creating Your Unique Timepiece, these masterclasses are sure to catch the eye of every watch enthusiast.
Located under The Gate in DIFC, the purpose-built event space creates an inclusive and intimate environment for all exhibitors and visitors while offering independent and smaller brands a platform alongside industry leaders. Curated selections of heritage timepieces and seasonal collections in the Brands Exhibition will ensure that there is something new to see and experience across each of the five days, including the winning watches from the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2021.
