Under the glittering lights of Dubai Watch Week 2023, Frederique Constant unveiled its most brilliant creation yet. The watchmaker has marked its 35th anniversary and the 15th birthday of its Manufacture tourbillon with an astounding new limited edition: the Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar.
Just 35 of these meticulously crafted timepieces will be produced, each housed in a refined 18K pink gold case. The deep blue dial shimmers with a hand-engraved globe motif, an ode to the universal appeal of fine watchmaking. Suspended hour markers float above like satellites orbiting the Earth.
At the heart of this timepiece lies Frederique Constant's Manufacture Calibre FC-975, visible through the sapphire caseback. Circular graining and Côtes de Genève patterns adorn the bridges and baseplate, which is engraved with each watch's serial number. The 38-hour power reserve ensures ample runtime for the integrated tourbillon and perpetual calendar.

The perpetual calendar is one of watchmaking's greatest feats, automatically tracking the correct date without the need for adjustment between months of different lengths. Day, date, and month indications are smartly arranged at 12, 3, and 9 o'clock respectively.
At 6 o'clock, the tourbillon sweeps with a hypnotic motion. First patented in 1801, the rotating escapement defies gravity's pull-on accuracy. Cradled in an aperture characteristic of the Highlife collection, the tourbillon highlighted Frederique Constant's mastery of this revered complication.
