For a brand dining out on the Black Bay for a very long time, literally picking its bones to the bare, the Ranger collection offers a very pleasing aside in what actually is a dive-watch dominated catalog. For years, the Ranger has operated quietly in the shadow of its flamboyant sibling. Yet, this model embodies Tudor’s vision of the quintessential all-rounder, a rugged, ultra-focused exploration watch with a rich heritage.

At the Dubai Watch Week 2025, Tudor has broadened the Ranger catalog by offering the understated field watch in a smaller 36mm diameter and with a new “Dune White” dial option across the range.  Inspired by the brand’s late 1960s model, the Ranger platform which has always stood for simplicity, reliability, and adventure is now available in two size and dial color options as opposed to the previous Ranger models available only in black and in a 39mm case.

The new introductions answer the enthusiasts’ calls for more variety and greater wearability.

Revisiting A Legacy Of Exploration

The Ranger has always embodied Tudor’s vision of an all-purpose exploration watch, recalling the practicality and adventure-ready aesthetics of the 1960s. The original offered a unique character from a streamlined, accessible, and built to withstand any challenge package. After a few revivals and updates over the years, Tudor is now setting new benchmarks with broader size and dial options that cater to a wider audience.

Inside The New Ranger: Dune White Dial And 36mm Case

Dubai Watch Week 2025 marks the unveiling of the Dune White dial - a warm, lightly textured hue distinct from the classic matte black. This dial is paired with high-contrast black printed Arabic numerals and hour markers, while small luminous plots along the minute track ensure legibility in the dark. The characteristic arrow-shaped hour hand returns, filled with beige lume for vintage charm.

The Ranger collection retains its rugged all-rounder appeal.

The new 36mm case brings the same rugged DNA as its larger sibling but wears sleeker, at only 11mm thick with a slightly narrower 19mm lug width. This opens the Ranger line to those seeking an even more discreet and versatile wrist presence. Both the Dune White and black dials are now available in either the 39mm or 36mm format, each built with a satin-brushed steel case, screw-down crown, domed sapphire crystal, and 100m water resistance for guaranteed durability.

Modern Mechanics, Historic Soul

Powering the new 36mm Ranger is Tudor’s manufacture caliber MT5400, making it the brand’s smallest watch with a Manufacture movement. On the other hand, the 39mm variant houses the MT5402 caliber. Both movements share the technical hallmarks Tudor is celebrated for: COSC chronometer certification, 28,800vph (4Hz) beat rate, a silicon hairspring, and a robust 70-hour power reserve guaranteeing accuracy and robustness no matter the environment.

Straps And Wearing Experience

With the collection’s refresh, buyers can choose either a three-link satin-brushed steel bracelet with T-Fit micro-adjustment or a green fabric strap with red and beige stripes. The new 36mm variants, alongside the 39mm, become permanent offerings within the range and are available immediately.
