Tutima Glashütte brings an unusually serene energy to Dubai Watch Week 2025 this year, unveiling an exclusive Patria special edition that leans into the quiet strength of nature. Limited to just 25 pieces, the watch turns to the color green not as a trend, but as a symbol: harmony, resilience, prosperity, and a certain grounded confidence. Those ideas shape the aesthetic, the choice of materials, and even the movement that powers this rare Patria.

The first thing that catches the eye is the dial, where a delicate pyramid texture creates a shifting play of light. Depending on how it catches the sun, the surface moves between deep moss and bright emerald, giving the watch a living character. Applied diamond-cut hour markers bring a gleam to the composition, while the hands, finished entirely by hand, anchor the display with clarity and elegance. Tutima also brings in a touch of heritage with its historical logo, but the watch adds a contemporary and cross-cultural detail as well: for the first time in the Patria line, Arabic-Indian numerals appear at four, eight, and twelve o’clock.

The brand’s philosophy has been built around the idea of protection

True to Tutima’s long-standing reputation for robustness, the watch feels as strong as it looks. Since 1927, the brand’s philosophy has been built around the idea of protection and reliability aptly reflected in the Latin root of the name, “tutus,” meaning safe. That ethos continues with the 41 mm case, made entirely of Grade 5 titanium. It is light, durable, and remarkably comfortable on the skin. The curved flank wraps naturally around the wrist, while the finely fluted crown sits flush and refined. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures the dial remains crisp in any lighting.

Turn the watch over and you immediately sense what sets the Patria apart. The in-house Tutima 617 movement reveals itself through the sapphire caseback, and the level of craftsmanship is evident at a glance. A specially engineered ratcheting mechanism gives the winding experience a smooth, tactile pleasure. The three-quarter plate decorated with fine stripes, hand-beveled edges, and gold-set ruby bearings stays faithful to Glashütte’s centuries-old traditions. An open-worked balance cock frames the free-sprung balance with a manually bent Breguet overcoil an old-world touch executed with modern precision. The hand-adjusted screw balance beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour, delivering a steady rhythm and at least 65 hours of power reserve.

Completing the watch is a green alligator leather strap, paired with a titanium pin buckle that ties in seamlessly with the case. The color brings the entire design full circle, reinforcing the theme while remaining understated and luxurious. This limited Patria doesn’t chase attention; it earns it. Its charm lies in subtle textures, technical refinement, and the sort of natural elegance that reveals more the longer you look. With only 25 pieces available worldwide, it feels crafted not just to be collected, but to be quietly appreciated for years to come.
