Generally regarded as the toughest watches ever made, G-Shock has now introduced a new design language to match contemporary street wear fashion with this range of the Hidden coast series.

Beach and coastal wear are generally associated with relaxed fits, floral patterns, soothing colours patterns as compared to urban city fashion. These watches, although based on the popular analog-digital combination watches of the GA -2100 /GA -2000 series, evoke what one may call a more relaxed fashion, athleisure as they are calling it nowadays. With this new series G-shock also aims to be in sync with the sentiment of people who have started exploring the concept of staycations yet again with a little extra oomph.

The new G-Shock Hidden coast series features a matte semi-transparent colour resin bezel which exposes the interiors of the oh so popular GA-2100 and GA -2000 series. Developed on the theme of coastal exploration, these new cult watches are meant to match the overall relaxed and exploratory vibe of the pristine beaches and hidden coastlines. The collection feature hues of transparent green, orange, blue and white in its bezel and straps respectively.

The "fashion" aspect aside they are however G-shock watches. Staying true to their DNA of being the most rugged and reliable companions, the new G-Shock Hidden coast series are all 200m water-resistant, with an interchangeable band structure and a carbon core guard structure for that added toughness. This new Carbon Core Guard structure delivers superior shock resistance by leveraging the properties of carbon fiber (shock resistance, rigidity, and resistance to degradation), which is also used for aircraft fuselage parts.

The colours here maybe a tad bit loud and over the top, but history has it that when it comes to reliable and tough watches that gets you the best bang for the buck, its a G-shock!
