The tourbillon is no stranger to Frederique Constant as they seem to be moving more towards high-watchmaking (haute horology) in the recent times. At Geneva Watch Days 2024, we see a brand new addition to the Tourbillon Manufacture watch with an aventurine dial.

Designed and manufactured entirely in-house, the self-winding FC-980-4 calibre features hand-bevelled chamfers, beading on the bridges, straight-grained flanks and a delicate mirror polish. Symbolising performance and precision, it features a silicon material that protects the escapement from any running variations resulting from temperature changes or magnetisation from speakers, computers, fasteners or phones, which can harm movements sensitive to even the smallest magnetic fields.
The Classic Tourbillon Manufacture watch combines its impressive mechanics with standout design features. It has a single-piece aventurine dial, handcrafted so each one is unique. At 6 o'clock, a large cut-out showcases the tourbillon's precious escapement, with the model's limited series number engraved in gold on its bridge. This signature "Heart Beat" opening has been a hallmark of Frederique Constant for 30 years. The seconds hand moves within the tourbillon, while the hour and minute hands, along with their markers, are hand-polished. The watch, with a 39 mm diameter, is finished with a leather strap.
