Around twenty years ago, in 2002, DOXA introduced the SUB 750T, a professional dive watch that would go on to become a milestone in the brand’s story. At the time, it was a bold creation—an oversized cushion-shaped case measuring 44.7 mm in diameter and nearly 14 mm in thickness, built to withstand depths of up to 750 meters. This was a watch that made no compromises, designed squarely with professional divers in mind. Its broad dial and generously sized hands and markers delivered optimal legibility, even in murky waters or under the most demanding underwater conditions. The SUB 750T was as much a symbol of professional utility as it was a declaration of DOXA’s unrelenting focus on the needs of divers.

Now, two decades later, DOXA revisits this icon with a fresh interpretation of the SUB 750T. The 2025 edition honors the defining character of the original—its bold architecture, utilitarian clarity, and famed toughness—while reshaping it for today’s audience. What emerges is a slimmer, more contemporary timepiece that manages to preserve the substance of the original while introducing a sleeker and more versatile silhouette.

The case is still substantial, now measuring 45 mm by 47 mm (excluding the crown), but the thickness has been reduced to under 12 mm. This change alone transforms the wearing experience. The new SUB 750T retains the presence and assertiveness one expects of a DOXA diver, yet it feels lighter, more comfortable, and more adaptable to everyday use. It is, in fact, the slimmest interpretation of a 45 mm SUB yet—a detail that underscores DOXA’s commitment to evolution without losing touch with tradition.

Design codes that have long defined the SUB series remain firmly in place. The highly legible dial layout, the bold and high-contrast hands, and the unidirectional rotating bezel are all present, ensuring that functionality remains front and center. Yet the watch’s proportions and finish have been refined, making it equally at home on the wrist of a discerning modern collector as on the arm of a professional diver.

The launch brings with it sixteen new references, spanning the full spectrum of DOXA’s signature palette. Collectors can choose from Professional Orange, Sharkhunter Black, Whitepearl White, Searambler Silver Grey, Caribbean Navy Blue, Divingstar Yellow, Aquamarine Turquoise, and Sea Emerald Dark Green. Each dial color is available with either the brand’s emblematic “beads of rice” stainless-steel bracelet—an integrated design that has become inseparable from the DOXA aesthetic—or a lightweight, color-matched rubber strap for a more contemporary feel. Every version is equipped with Super-LumiNova® across the hands, indexes, and bezel markings, ensuring optimal visibility in all lighting conditions. A practical date display at 3 o’clock adds another layer of everyday functionality.

The steel case of the new SUB 750T has been carefully executed to balance strength with refinement. Sharp chamfers and angular lines create an assertive silhouette, while the screw-down crown at 3 o’clock reinforces the professional nature of the watch. Atop the case sits DOXA’s patented oversized unidirectional rotating bezel, engineered specifically for calculating and tracking no-decompression dive times—an indispensable feature for divers who operate at depth. The watch’s water resistance, rated to 750 meters (2,460 feet), underscores its identity as a serious tool, designed to withstand pressure both in the ocean’s depths and in demanding environments on land.

Inside beats a Swiss-made automatic mechanical movement, decorated with DOXA’s own touches. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), delivering precise timekeeping and a power reserve of around 56 hours. This ensures that the watch performs not only as a rugged diver but also as a reliable everyday companion.

While engineered to meet the practical demands of deep-sea exploration, the SUB 750T has always been more than just an instrument. It represents a spirit of adventure, the drive to test boundaries, and the determination to explore the unknown. The 2025 edition captures this essence while presenting it in a form that resonates with the sensibilities of today.

For divers, it remains a trustworthy companion. For collectors, it is a piece of DOXA’s legacy, reborn in contemporary form. And for anyone who values the blend of purpose and design, it is a reminder that true tool watches are not simply about function—they are about embodying the spirit of exploration. With the new SUB 750T, DOXA continues to prove that its pioneering ethos is very much alive, two decades on.
