Geneva Watch Days 2025: Tutima Glashütte Patria Is A Lightweight Wonder In Titanium
Some watches whisper heritage, others flaunt it. Tutima’s Patria finds a balance, rooted in Glashütte tradition while embracing a contemporary twist. For the first time, the Patria line features titanium, introducing three new models that feel lighter on the wrist but maintain a strong character.

Tutima has used titanium for years in its pilot and professional lines but incorporating it into the Patria holds significance. The 41 mm Grade 5 case is not just practical but also scratch-resistant, hypoallergenic and incredibly light. It showcases a sculptural design. The polished surfaces capture light with subtle arcs, the curved crown guard hugs the case side, and the fluted crown offers a pleasant tactile feel. In short, it provides modern comfort while honoring traditional craftsmanship.

Dials That Play with Light
Beneath a domed sapphire crystal, each dial features intricate details. The pyramid pattern changes with light, resembling a moving topographical map. Fine grooves ripple around the small seconds in concentric circles, while the minute track maintains order at the edges. Luminous hands shine a cool blue at night, indicating hours and minutes while also referencing the brand's historic logo from nearly a century ago, a quiet nod to its roots.

Turn the watch over, and Glashütte's influence becomes clear. The sapphire back reveals the in-house hand-wound Caliber 617, made of 171 parts of mechanical art. The three-quarter plate is hand-ribbed and beveled, with rubies set in gold chatons that glisten like wine drops. The balance moves gracefully through a hand-bent Breguet overcoil. Winding it is more than just practical—it’s a thoughtful ritual. When fully wound, the movement provides a 65-hour reserve, ensuring time keeps ticking long after you set it down.
Three Faces, Three Moods
Anthracite dial paired with a black calfskin strap creates stark contrasts and a serious tone. The graphite dial with a sheepskin strap delivers an industrial-modern, almost architectural vibe. The silver-white dial with a light brown strap exudes warmth, restraint, and quiet confidence. Each comes with a hand-sewn strap and a titanium buckle, showing that even utility can have a refined touch.
Patria translates to “homeland.” It reflects more than branding; it embodies a philosophy. With these titanium models, Tutima demonstrates that Glashütte’s legacy can be lightweight, scratch-resistant, and strikingly modern without sacrificing its essence.
