There’s a shift in the air at HAUTLENCE. A change of guard. A new energy. As the brand gears up for Watches and Wonders 2025, whispers of bold innovations and daring complications are already stirring excitement in the world of haute horlogerie.

At the heart of this transformation is a powerful duo of leadership: Cédric Joos, the newly appointed Brand Manager, and Guillaume Tetu, the brand’s founder and creative mastermind, returning as Chairman and Advisor. With their combined expertise, HAUTLENCE is poised for a comeback—one that promises to redefine its legacy in independent watchmaking.

A Strategic Power Move

Cédric Joos isn’t just another industry executive—he’s a watch aficionado with deep roots in the Jura, the cradle of Swiss horology. From his formative years surrounded by timepiece artisans to his strategic roles at Bucherer and H. Moser & Cie., Joos has built a reputation for understanding both the artistry and the business of watches. His mastery of direct-to-consumer engagement and international brand development makes him the perfect force to drive HAUTLENCE into its next era.

But there’s more. To ensure that HAUTLENCE’s revival isn’t just about leadership but also about uncompromising innovation, a new steering committee has been assembled, featuring key figures from H. Moser & Cie.: Edouard Meylan, Bertrand Meylan, Nicholas Hofmann, and Maurizio Tallero. This powerhouse team is set to inject fresh vision, strategic insight, and synergy into HAUTLENCE’s operations, setting the stage for something truly remarkable.

“This new leadership structure sets the foundation for HAUTLENCE to achieve new heights,” said Edouard Meylan, co-owner of HAUTLENCE. “With Cédric’s dynamic leadership and Guillaume’s visionary approach, we are confident the brand will continue its trajectory as a pioneer in independent watchmaking.”

The Return of a Watchmaking Visionary

And then, there’s Guillaume Tetu. For those who’ve followed HAUTLENCE from the beginning, Tetu’s name is synonymous with creativity and technical audacity. The man who co-founded the brand, shaped its identity, and pushed the boundaries of design is back. This time, as Chairman and Advisor, he brings not just experience but a renewed passion for challenging conventions and rewriting the rules of independent watchmaking.

Speaking on his return, Tetu shared: “Coming back to HAUTLENCE—a brand I still consider my baby—is an immense pleasure. We’ve always been about innovation, and this new chapter will be no different.”

The Countdown to Watches and Wonders 2025 Begins

The pieces are falling into place. The momentum is building. And something big is coming. HAUTLENCE’s upcoming unveiling at Watches and Wonders isn’t just about new watches—it’s about a rebirth. A return to form, with designs that dare to be different and complications that will leave collectors talking. What will they reveal? How far will they push the limits of watchmaking this time? All will be answered soon. Stay tuned.
