H. Moser & Cie. unveils two striking new additions to their acclaimed Streamliner collection. The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Frozen in 5N red gold and steel represents not just technical excellence, but a daring new aesthetic approach that captivates both the eye and the imagination.

A Canvas of Light and Texture
The Swiss luxury watchmaker from Neuhausen am Rheinfall has always championed minimalism, but with the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Frozen, they've added a layer of visual complexity that paradoxically enhances the collection's signature clean lines. The star of this horological show is undoubtedly the dial, which features a hand-sculpted frosted finish that transforms an already exceptional timepiece into a wearable work of art.

Each dial begins as a brass plate that undergoes meticulous hand-engraving followed by a precise stamping process. This craftsmanship results in a unique frosted texture that catches and plays with light in ever-changing patterns. Like fresh snow glistening under the sun, the surface creates a mesmerizing display of reflections that shifts with every movement of the wrist. The 5N red gold model showcases this texture beneath a deep Midnight Blue fumé lacquer, while the steel version features an intense Matrix Green fumé finish. Both colorways possess remarkable depth, further enhancing the three-dimensional quality of the frosted surface.

While the aesthetic appeal of these new Streamliner models is immediately apparent, the technical achievements lie just beneath the surface. The HMC 907 calibre powering these timepieces was developed in collaboration with AGENHOR, one of the most respected movement creators in the industry.

This automatic flyback chronograph movement represents a masterclass in horological engineering. The oscillating weight has been ingeniously positioned between the movement and the dial, allowing wearers to observe the chronograph mechanism and column wheel in action through the transparent case back. Featuring traditional Moser stripes angled at 45° and anthracite grey rhodium-plating on the bridges and main plate, the movement's finishing is as impressive as its functionality. With a power reserve of 72 hours, double barrels, and a sophisticated two-stage chronograph mechanism featuring a horizontal clutch with friction wheel, the technical specifications speak to the comprehensive expertise that has gone into this timepiece.

True to H. Moser & Cie.'s philosophy of focusing on essentials, the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Frozen maintains the collection's refined aesthetic and minimalist central display. Even the brand's logo is applied in transparent lacquer – a "secret signature" that preserves the visual harmony of the dial without disrupting its balance.

The 42.3mm case, water-resistant to 12 ATM, features chronograph push-buttons positioned at 10 and 2 o'clock, with a screw-down crown at 4 o'clock adorned with an engraved "M." The 5N red gold version comes with an integrated black rubber strap, while the steel model features a matching steel bracelet. Both feature a folding clasp with three blades, engraved with the Moser logo. Hour and minute hands with Globolight® inserts and a red chronograph hand with Super-LumiNova® coating ensure excellent legibility, while a minute track for elapsed seconds and minutes, along with a tachymeter on the flange, provide the chronograph functionality expected of such a sophisticated timepiece.

What makes the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Frozen particularly noteworthy is how it embodies H. Moser & Cie.'s approach to haute horlogerie. The independent manufacturer, which produces only around 4,000 watches annually with a team of 120 craftspeople, has created a timepiece that balances mechanical innovation with artistic expression. Through its sister company Precision Engineering AG, H. Moser & Cie. manufactures critical components such as regulating organs and balance-springs in-house, ensuring complete control over quality and performance. This vertical integration allows the brand to maintain its high standards while continuing to push the boundaries of what's possible in watchmaking.

A Legacy of Innovation
Founded by Heinrich Moser in 1828, H. Moser & Cie. maintains strong connections to its heritage while constantly looking forward. The brand is honored to have a Moser family member serve as Honorary Chairman and President of the Heinrich and Henri Moser Foundation, which works to preserve the family history and curate antique pieces for the Moser Museum located in the founder's family home, Charlottenfels Manor. Today, the company is part of MELB Holding, an independent family group based in Switzerland's legendary Vallée de Joux, which also holds shares in Hautlence and Agenhor SA.

With the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Frozen, H. Moser & Cie. has created timepieces that are simultaneously sporty and refined, technically impressive and visually captivating. The frosted dials transform with every change in lighting and angle, creating what the brand describes as "tableaux vivants" – living pictures that evolve throughout the day.
