Mira Kapoor And Piaget Turn India Watch Weekend Collector’s Edit Into A Sixties Fantasy
India Watch Weekend The Collector’s Edit kicked off with a burst of retro glamour this year with an afternoon that felt like stepping straight into a stylish sixties daydream. The Tea Lounge at Jio World Plaza turned into a swirl of bouffant hair, bold eyeliner, playful prints and the unmistakable sparkle of Piaget. Over forty women arrived dressed to theme, each one looking like she’d walked off the set of a vintage magazine cover. Exactly the mood to celebrate the brand’s new Sixtie collection. At the centre of all this 60’s flair was a conversation with Piaget’s friend of the brand Mira Kapoor who brought her unique charm and love for luxury to the afternoon and Karishma Karer, Co Founder, The Hour Markers.

The room buzzed long before the tea trays rolled in, thanks to the Piaget watches displayed around the lounge, catching light at every turn like tiny, well-behaved disco balls. The session began with moderator Avanne Dubash setting the tone, steering the conversation with her signature mix of charm and ease.
Mira was the first to take everyone behind the scenes of her watch world. She spoke about her love for pieces that glide effortlessly from Indian wear to western outfits without missing a beat something her own wardrobe practically demands. "Soon after we got married, my husband gifted me a watch on my birthday. It still holds a sentimental place in my heart. But when I began my own wellness business, I bought myself a watch to commemorate the occassion," she shared. And in true sixties “independent woman” fashion why should you wait for someone else to gift you a watch you love?
Karishma added her own sparkle to the conversation, calling out Piaget’s flair for extravagance as the brand’s unmistakable signature. "It’s that touch of drama, the unapologetic elegance and the sense that every watch wants to be the star of the outfit that makes Piaget so memorable. The Maison gently broke the boundaries of the watch world by venturing into cuff watches as well as satouirs which is another delightful nod to the swinging sixties that were so in vogue during that era." The guests nodded in agreement after all, the sixties weren’t about subtlety; they were about personality.

Between the clinking of teacups, the glow of gold bracelets and the gentle hum of conversations that drifted from watches to fashion to memories, the evening felt like a celebration of time in every sense. India Watch Weekend Collector’s Edit wrapped day 1 with laughter, style and a sixties spirit that lingered long after the evening wound down, exactly the kind of moment Piaget would approve of.
