LVMH Watch Week 2024: Bulgari Intricacies Two Showstopping Octo Finissimo Timepieces In Yellow Gold And Tuscan Copper
Within the strictly passionate and subjective realms of design, the mystique surrounding a perfect color combination is something holy. When artistic geniuses blend polar hues to yield a harmonious tango, a visual masterpiece is born. Bulgari unveils a horology symphony of color combinations, one which is distinctive and the other which is an industry favorite.
At the LVMH Watch Week 2024, Bulgari introduces its signature timepiece, the Octo Finissimo in salmon-steel and blue-gold combinations. Resonating with emotion and allure, the debut hues for the iconic Octo Finissimo showcase the impact of a well-chosen palette with each hue carefully orchestrated.
The dearly accoladed Bulgari timepiece, the Octo Finissimo is a showstopper for the Maison. As expressed by Product Creation Executive Director Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, “Octo Finissimo opens a window into a virtually boundless realm of creativity. Its design is both geometrically precise and wonderfully versatile, offering a canvas for diverse expressions and personalities.”
The Radiant Glow of Gold: The Octo Finissimo Yellow Gold
The fusion of yellow gold with a sunray blue dial for the Octo Finissimo reimagines its timeless elegance, casting a captivating new radiance. The sun-like brilliance of the gold accentuates the interplay of light across the watch's daring lines and Roman-inspired geometry. The case, boasting 58 facets and much functional with its 100 meters of water resistance, exhibits exquisite finesse with architectural angles, leading to a satin-finished yellow gold bracelet that offers exceptional comfort, culminating in a triple-blade folding clasp.
The deep blue lacquered dial is the true showstopper. Adorned with a sunray finish, it adds opulence to the gold's precious splendor. Golden hands and contrasting hour markers ensure impeccable legibility, complementing the watch's chic and sporty essence. With a diameter of 40 mm and a slim profile of just 6.4 mm, the new Octo Finissimo caters to both men and women.
The exhibition caseback unveils the artistry of Swiss mechanical excellence as the wonderfully decorated in-house BVL 138 caliber, remarkably slim at 2.23 mm, is adorned with meticulously crafted anglage, circular graining and Côtes de Genève stripes, showcasing the pinnacle of craftsmanship.
The Salmon-Steel Wonder: The Octo Finissimo Tuscan Copper
The multi-faceted stainless-steel case of the Octo Finissimo Tuscan Copper is retained but gets refreshed with a delightful salmon dial which Bulgari calls the Tuscan Copper hue. “Here, the metallic salmon tone draws its inspiration not from the usual vintage aesthetic prized by collectors, but from the very roots of Italian art, that of the 16th century, and more precisely from a disruptive movement of the time, called Mannerism, which marked my own training as a designer. Hence, my choice for this color symbolizes an experimental and disruptive artistic approach,” expresses Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani.
The sunray Tuscan copper dial, bathed in a captivating salmon hue, emerges as a treasured rarity among aficionados of Bulgari. Gracing the coppery countenance are the Rhodium-plated hands and indexes housed within the 904L stainless steel case and bracelet. Accompanying this radiant creation is the caliber BVL 138, endowing the timepiece with a generous power reserve of 60 hours.
