The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer introduces an innovative twist to the brand’s renowned Worldtimer design, offering an enhanced level of mechanical sophistication and aesthetic appeal. First seen in the Aqua Terra 150M collection since 2017, this new interpretation incorporates the striking features of OMEGA's iconic Planet Ocean Deep Black model, seamlessly merging form and function. With a 45.50 mm case crafted from black ceramic [ZrO2], the watch makes a bold statement while maintaining the technical prowess that the Planet Ocean range is known for.

One of the standout elements of this Worldtimer is the intricate depiction of the continents on the dial. Produced on a grade 5 titanium surface, the map showcases the Northern Hemisphere, with the continents precisely rendered via laser-ablation and varnish. This attention to detail offers a crisp, engaging visual that makes the dial feel alive, emphasizing the global scope that the watch embodies. Surrounding this topographic map is a 24-hour indication, marking day and night, beneath hesalite glass for clarity. The outer section of the dial is enhanced with a DLC black color, featuring a polished honeycomb pattern that adds texture and depth.

The Planet Ocean Worldtimer is offered in two striking dial colors: turquoise and grey. The turquoise model features varnished accents that contrast with the black ceramic case, along with white Super-LumiNova-filled hands and indexes. It’s paired with an integrated strap made of structured black rubber with turquoise stitching and a ceramic/ceramised titanium foldover clasp. The grey model, on the other hand, has a more muted and sophisticated appeal, with grey Super-LumiNova and a black rubber strap with a grey underside.

Another fascinating feature of this watch is the inclusion of global city markers surrounding the dial, which allow the wearer to track time across various time zones. These markers go beyond just a list of names, as they offer practical functionality for frequent travelers and globe-trotters. Notably, Switzerland’s hometown of Bienne is included, positioned at GMT+1, further cementing the watch’s connection to OMEGA's heritage.

Powering the Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. This movement ensures outstanding precision, along with a robust 60 bar (600m / 2000ft) water resistance, making this timepiece suitable for a range of adventurous pursuits. Whether you’re exploring the depths of the ocean or the farthest reaches of the globe, the OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer keeps you in sync with the world’s time zones in a beautifully crafted package.
