Since its inception in 2016, the Presage collection has seamlessly blended Japanese craftsmanship with Seiko's renowned expertise in mechanical watchmaking. This summer Presage has introduced a new classic series in hues, materials, and textures of traditional Japanese craftsmanship with five watch watches.
The original Seiko Presage models debuted in the 1960s, known for their timeless design, reliable movements, and accessible prices. Since then, the Presage collection has gained popularity among collectors and watch aficionados for its blend of performance, style, and affordability.
This year, featuring two dial configurations, the collection debuts with five distinct creations. The three-hand models with date display draw inspiration from the sheen of silk fabric, while the open-heart designs mimic the texture of raw silk yarn with a radial pattern. Each watch showcases one of four traditional Japanese colors: shiro-iro, sensaicha, araigaki, and sumi-iro, giving a warm luster to the timepiece. Much like the 1970's designs, the slim profile of the case and softly curved surfaces, complements the dial's contours with the multi-row bracelet.
The collection is powered by two newly introduced Seiko 6R movements, with a 72-hour power reserve.
