Suparna Mitra, CEO, Watches & Wearables Division Of Titan Resigns
Suparna Mitra, who has played a pivotal role in shaping Titan Company’s Watches & Wearables Division, is set to step down from her position after a long and impactful tenure. In a regulatory filing on May 13, the Tata Group company announced that Mitra had tendered her resignation, citing personal reasons. She will officially exit the company on August 12. A successor is yet to be announced.
Mitra’s departure brings to a close a distinguished association with Titan, a brand synonymous with some of India’s most iconic watch labels. She began her career with the company in 1994 and, after a brief stint at Hindustan Unilever, returned in 2006. Since taking over as CEO of the division in 2020, Mitra has led a broad transformation strategy—revitalizing legacy brands such as Raga, introducing fresh offerings like Octane and Zoop, and driving retail expansion across formats and geographies.
Among her notable achievements was Titan’s entry into the premium watch segment, which culminated in the launch of India’s first indigenously manufactured Flying Tourbillon in 2024—a significant milestone in Indian horology. Her leadership also helped position Titan on the global stage, with the company earning a nomination at the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.
An alumna of Jadavpur University, where she earned a degree in electrical engineering, and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Mitra is widely respected for her innovation-led approach and deep customer insight. Industry observers credit her with steering Titan’s watch division through a phase of rapid evolution and growth in an increasingly competitive market.
