One Minute Of Sunlight. One Full Day Of Power: TAG Heuer’s Solar Revolution
For nearly five decades, the Aquaracer has embodied TAG Heuer’s vision of the modern tool watch. Ever since the launch of the iconic Heuer Reference 844 in 1978, the collection has been built around the principles of reliability, legibility and performance, earning its place on the wrists of divers, adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Today, the Aquaracer continues to evolve, combining cutting-edge technology with refined design, and its latest chapter is powered by one of nature’s most abundant resources: light.

At the heart of the new 2026 TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional Solargraph collection is an innovative movement that transforms both natural and artificial light into energy, eliminating the need for frequent battery changes while delivering impressive autonomy and precision. Expanding the Solargraph family are the elegant Aquaracer Professional 100 Solargraph models and the reimagined Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph, each offering a unique interpretation of TAG Heuer’s adventurous spirit.
A Legacy Built for Adventure
The Aquaracer story began in 1978 when Jack Heuer introduced the Heuer Reference 844, a watch designed for those who felt most at home in challenging aquatic environments. Built to withstand demanding conditions, it laid the foundation for a collection defined by durability and technical excellence. The Aquaracer name officially arrived in 2004, accompanied by six defining features: a unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, water resistance of at least 200 metres, luminous markings, sapphire crystal and a double safety clasp. Over the years, the collection has expanded beyond the ocean, becoming a trusted companion for every kind of adventure, from mountain trails to urban exploration. Today, Solargraph technology adds a new dimension to that legacy, bringing sustainable performance and remarkable convenience to one of TAG Heuer’s most versatile collections.
Powered by the Sun
As Nicholas Biebuyck, TAG Heuer’s Heritage Director, explains: "One minute of sunlight: that's all the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph needs to power itself for an entire day. By harnessing a limitless energy source, the watch transforms natural or artificial light into up to ten months of autonomy when fully charged, delivering sustainable performance and unwavering reliability wherever the adventure leads."

This innovative approach sits at the core of the Solargraph concept. The movement continuously recharges through everyday exposure to light, ensuring dependable performance while reducing maintenance requirements and extending battery life significantly.
Outdoor Elegance: Aquaracer Professional 100 Solargraph
With the introduction of a refined 28 mm case size, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 100 Solargraph offers a more elegant and feminine expression of the collection. Designed for women who appreciate both sophistication and adventure, these models combine technical innovation with elevated aesthetics. The collection comprises four distinct references. Two models feature striking black and deep blue sunray-brushed dials, each enhanced with diamond hour markers that add a touch of brilliance while maintaining excellent legibility. The rich blue variant captures the changing reflections of open water, while the black dial delivers a sleek and contemporary presence.

The remaining two references embrace a more luxurious character through luminous mother-of-pearl dials. One showcases the natural iridescence of white mother-of-pearl, while the most precious interpretation pairs the shimmering dial with warm yellow gold-plated accents, creating a sophisticated interplay of texture, colour and light.
Powering every 28 mm model is the Solargraph Calibre TH51-00, which converts natural and artificial light into energy and delivers up to eight months of autonomy on a full charge. Requiring just 14 hours of light exposure to reach full capacity, it ensures effortless reliability for everyday wear. Among the standout references is a particularly refined model featuring a white mother-of-pearl dial set with 12 circular diamond hour markers totalling 0.075 carats. Housed in a stainless-steel 28 mm case, it balances elegance with robustness while showcasing the technical innovation of the Solargraph movement.
The Everyday Explorer: Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph
The new Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph 40 mm represents a comprehensive evolution of TAG Heuer’s modern tool watch. Every detail has been reconsidered, from ergonomics and materials to aesthetics and functionality.
The redesigned collection introduces a newly sculpted bezel featuring reintroduced rider elements, sharper case geometry and updated hands, creating a more assertive and contemporary look. A fluted case design at 9 o’clock and a new interchangeable bracelet system further enhance wearability and versatility.

Available in a variety of executions, the collection ranges from steel models with blue and green dials to highly technical titanium versions. The steel references feature distinctive horizontal dial lines that add depth and reinforce the collection’s adventurous identity.
Lightweight Titanium Performance
Among the most compelling additions is the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph in Grade 2 titanium. Designed for those who value both performance and comfort, the watch features a lightweight 40 mm sandblasted titanium case and matching bracelet, complemented by an interchangeable strap system for added versatility. The black sunray-brushed dial is decorated with horizontal lines and features redesigned rhodium-plated indexes filled with Super-LumiNova® for optimal visibility. A striking polar-blue lacquered central seconds hand creates a crisp visual contrast, echoed by matching blue accents on the minuterie, crown lacquer and dial text.

Further emphasising its technical character is a Grade 5 titanium unidirectional bezel with sunray-brushed rider elements and markings. The result is a watch that feels purposeful, robust and unmistakably modern. Beneath the dial beats the Solargraph Calibre TH50-00, a light-powered quartz movement engineered for long-term reliability. By converting both natural and artificial light into energy, it continuously recharges during normal wear. A full charge delivers up to ten months of autonomy, while just ten minutes of light exposure can provide approximately 40 hours of power. Even more impressively, a single minute of sunlight can generate enough energy for an entire day of operation.

Designed for longevity, the TH50-00 offers a battery lifespan of up to 15 years, significantly reducing maintenance requirements while maintaining stable precision. The movement drives hours, minutes, seconds and date functions, while the watch itself offers 200 metres of water resistance, secured by a screw-down Grade 2 titanium crown.
Innovation Meets Adventure
The 2026 TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 100 and Professional 200 Solargraph collections demonstrate how the Swiss Maison continues to push the boundaries of functionality and design. By pairing decades of tool-watch expertise with pioneering Solargraph technology, TAG Heuer has created timepieces that are equally at home beneath the waves, on mountain trails or navigating the rhythm of everyday life. Whether expressed through the refined elegance of the 28 mm Professional 100 or the rugged versatility of the 40 mm Professional 200, the latest Aquaracer Solargraph models reaffirm a simple yet powerful idea: the best adventures are powered by light.
