Vacheron Constantin expands its celebrated Overseas collection with two striking new expressions of the Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. Crafted in 41.5 mm cases, the models arrive in two precious variations: pink gold paired with a matching golden-toned sunburst satin-finished dial, and white gold contrasted by a deep burgundy lacquer dial. Each is presented on an integrated 18K gold bracelet and delivered with two additional interchangeable rubber straps that highlight the collection’s spirit of sporty versatility.

A hallmark of Vacheron Constantin since 1755, the Overseas line embodies the Maison’s openness to the world and its dedication to technical mastery. Inspired by the Maltese cross emblem, its design combines robustness and elegance, making the Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin not just a high complication, but also a true travel companion. The pink gold edition plays on harmonious tone-on-tone aesthetics, from case to bracelet to moon-phase display. A subtle blue minutes track encircling the dial adds a refined punctuation of colour, while rubber strap options in blue or white lend a casual and contemporary flair. The white gold model, in contrast, embraces rich intensity. Its burgundy lacquer dial and matching moon-phase disc stand out against the cool lustre of the case, complemented by white numerals and indexes. Rubber straps in burgundy or white extend the palette, allowing wearers to move seamlessly between bold and understated moods.

At just 8.1 mm thick, the watch is powered by the Manufacture Calibre 1120 QP/1 an ultra-thin, self-winding movement that integrates the perpetual calendar and moon-phase display. Considered one of the most sophisticated watchmaking complications, the perpetual calendar automatically accounts for the irregularities of our calendar – different month lengths, leap years, and February’s variations – requiring no correction until the year 2100. This movement drives hours, minutes, moon phase, and the calendar functions: day, date, month, and leap year, displayed over a 48-month counter.

Comprising 276 components and measuring just 4.05 mm in thickness, Calibre 1120 QP/1 operates at 19,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 40-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement reveals a 22K gold oscillating weight engraved with a compass rose, a symbol of the Overseas collection’s spirit of exploration. Finishing details reflect the Maison’s Haute Horlogerie standards, from Côtes de Genève to chamfering and circular graining, each enhancing the play of light across the architecture of the calibre.

Practicality remains central to the Overseas identity. Both new Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin models embody the “one watch, three styles” philosophy thanks to the quick-change interchangeable strap system. Whether on a precious gold bracelet or on a rubber strap that lends a more relaxed character, the timepiece adapts with ease to the demands of travel, business, or leisure.
