Watches And Wonders 2024: Hublot Unveils A Duo Of Square Bang Unico Timepieces Featuring Scratch-Resistant Magic Gold
The Square Bang at Hublot was conceived as an everyday timepiece, initially crafted from titanium for its durability. Over time, it has garnered a dedicated following among those who appreciate its blend of resilience and luxury. To cater to those who desire both durability and the luster of gold, Hublot has unveiled two new references of the Square Bang Unico in Magic Gold. These new models revealed at Watches and Wonders 2024 mark a natural progression for this iconic collection.
A Geometric Case in High-tech Magic Gold
The new Square Bang retains its distinctive design and pairs with an integrated "One Click" bracelet for easy interchangeability. Its 42 mm case offers bezels that are massive and protruding, emphasizing the case's geometry by extending generously away from it. Crafted from solid magic gold, it securely attaches to the case with six H-shaped screws. The 18-karat gold alloy developed and patented by Hublot allows for a bezel that is both bold in volume and beautifully polished. The timepiece is available in two iterations, one in a full magic gold construction and the other with a ceramic and magic gold pairing.
A Flyback Chronograph Function
The Hublot Square Bang Unico Ceramic Magic Gold timepieces released at Watches and Wonders 2024 are equipped with a flyback chronograph movement from Hublot. This caliber Unico 2 provides column wheel chronograph activation and has a total of 334 components. It serves the timepiece an autonomy of 72 hours.
The Square Bang Unico has redefined watchmaking aesthetics with its bold design, standing out in a world often characterized by conservative styles. These new references, available in micro blasted black ceramic with a Magic Gold bezel or entirely in 18k Magic Gold, continue the legacy of Hublot’s unhindered execution of bold designs.
The full Magic Gold version is limited to just 200 pieces.
