The vintage-aviation inspired watch manufacture residing in the heart of the Chiltern valley centers around a focal of adventure. At the Watches and Wonders 2024, the brand announces an all-new Terra Nova collection referencing the military pocket watches of the early 20th century and introduces a collection of four new field watches as part of the series. The watches feature a common geometric cushion case shape and get a combination of time-only, date, chronograph and turning bezel with power reserve variants.

Offering a clear reference to the early era military pocket watches, the watches favor a function-focused aesthetic consistent with their field nature and their dials get occupied with oversized numerals printed with luminescent material. The use of 904L stainless steel is a common theme in the Terra Nova collection of 2024 and the case surfaces offer alternating finishing for brushed and polished surfaces. The case backs get an engraved motif of the ‘world’ and the lettering ‘Terra Nova’.

The timepieces feature oversized crowns as a heritage nod to the previous generation field watches intended to be operated with gloved hands. The collection is summed up by a total of four variants offered in three sizes for the case with the dimensions being defined by the packing of complications or functionality.

A 38mm two-hander, a 40.5mm iteration both with date function or with a rotating compass bezel, power reserve indicator, date and small seconds. Finally, a 42.5mm steel chronograph completes the core collection

Terra Nova 38

Bremont Terra Nova 38

The Bremont Terra Nova 38 is the purest and simplistic iteration of the field watch aesthetic born within the manufacture and gets a small case size inclination. Its 904L stainless steel case is crafted in a 38mm stainless steel architecture and is equipped with shortened lugs. The dial offers a simple two-hand layout for superlative legibility which gets complimented by oversized lettering printed in luminescent material. The timepieces bearing an automatic caliber feature 100 meters of water resistance and get paired with two choices of dial: anthracite and white. The watch is available in stainless steel bracelet or leather strap variants both equipped with quick release systems.

Terra Nova 40.5 Date

Terra Nova 40.5 Date

The Terra Nova 40.5 Date is a slightly larger and a bit more complicated iteration of the Terra Nova 38. Its dial gets a date window aperture at 3 o’clock and the watch bears the complication of a running central seconds hand. The 40.5 mm stainless steel variants get a pairing of either anthracite or a green dial. The timepieces get the option of a stainless-steel bracelet and a leather or NATO strap. The automatic caliber powering this iteration delivers a power reserve of 38 hours.

Terra Nova 40.5 Turning Bezel Power Reserve

Equipped with a power reserve gauge at 6 o’clock and a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, the Terra Nova 40.5 mm case version gets a pairing of a turning bezel as well. The bezel gets an engraving of the cardinal signs or compass markers consistent with their field watch aesthetic and the overall package is born on a choice of a woven fabric strap, leather strap or a stainless-steel bracelet.

Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph

Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph

The oversized iteration of the Terra Nova is naturally its most complicated one as well. The timepiece with its chronograph functionality features a dial with a symmetric slightly-sunken totaliser layout. At 3 o’clock we get a 30 minutes elapsed time counter and the 9 o’clock sub-dial reads the running seconds. A date window occurs at 6 o’clock with the date disc painted in black.
