The perpetual calendar is one of the most difficult complications in watchmaking. One of the hallmarks of genuine horological competence is the creation of a movement that can automatically modify the day and date of each month while accounting for leap years. The new Luminor GoldtechTM Calendario Perpetuo is a limited-edition timepiece with only 33 pieces available, and purchasers will be invited on a special trip to Florence to learn more about Panerai's history.

The Luminor Goldtech Calendario Perpetuo is power by Panerai's P.4100 automatic movement. The movement has an easy setup system that doesn't require a corrector or tools, allowing you to change the day, date, month, and year by rotating the crown in either way. Furthermore, there are no restrictions on the ability to make changes, even at month-end periods and close to midnight.

The GMT function runs alongside the hour and minute hands, with the day-night indicator and tiny seconds on the subdial at 9 o'clock. Two barrels are wound and store by a 22-karat micro-rotor. An assortment that beats at 4Htz ensures the chronometric correctness and management of the motions.

The creative display is a perfect match for the ground-breaking calibre, highlighting it to its full potential. The day and date discs are completely visible thanks to a smoked sapphire crystal dial, which also provides an uninterrupted glimpse of the watch's inside architecture. The month, year, leap year, and power reserve indicators are visible through the sapphire caseback.

Panerai’s Luminor Goldtech Pepetuo Challenges High Complications

The 44mm Luminor case is a classic silhouette in the Panerai design vocabulary, made of Panerai GoldtechTM, 750 gold with platine. Its surface is polishing to a high sheen, except for the crown-protecting device, the caseback. And the clasp, creating a dazzling frame for each gracefully arrayed feature. The matte finish on the black patina alligator strap emanates sophistication and minimalism. The Luminor GoldtechTM Calendario Perpetuo boasts a trapezoidal pin buckle in Panerai Goldtech. That is water-resistant up to 5 bar (approximately 50 metres deep). The watch comes with a screwdriver to remove the buckle as well as a black rubber second strap.

Each purchaser of the Luminor Goldtech Calendario Perpetuo will treat to a once-in-a-lifetime trip. And to the birthplace of Panerai, Florence, and the surrounding Tuscan landscape. Through events that combine gastronomy, culture, and tours of historical locations. And clients will immerse in the brand's beginnings and the essence of Italian quality.

Panerai is fully orienting on the future and new innovations, as much as it loves its history. Buyers of the Luminor Goldtech Calendario Perpetuo will have access to a one-of-a-kind NFT designed especially for the occasion by an artist. The NFT will not only provide information specific to each traveler's itinerary. But it will also provide benefits that will be available long after the trip has ended. Purchasing a Luminor Goldtech Calendario Perpetuo will mark the start of a journey. That will not end but rather evolve over time.
