The Highlife collection from Frederique Constant marks its 25th anniversary in 2025 with two striking new versions of its 41mm Chronograph Automatic. The collection, which pioneered the integrated interchangeable strap concept in 1999, continues to exemplify Swiss watchmaking excellence at accessible price points.
The first new release joins the permanent collection, featuring a rose gold-plated case paired with a midnight blue dial. This model strikes a balance between luxury and affordability, showcasing polished hands, mixed finishing techniques, and comes with two strap options: a blue suede strap with crocodile embossing and a rubber alternative.
The second release is a special limited edition, with only 1,888 pieces to be produced. This steel-cased variant sports an opaline dial with distinctive fir green counters. It comes with three interchangeable straps - green suede for urban wear, brushed polished steel, and rubber - making it versatile for various settings. The dial features an engraved globe motif, emphasizing its adventurous spirit.
Both models are powered by the reliable FC-391 calibre, which provides a chronograph function with three subdials, a date window at 4:30, and a generous 60-hour power reserve - enough to keep the watch running through a weekend of non-wear. The movement, decorated with Côtes de Genève finishing, can be admired through a sapphire caseback. The case maintains water resistance to 10 ATM. This release builds on the success of the collection's 2020 relaunch, which was promoted by brand ambassador The Avener. These new additions effectively double the existing Highlife Chronograph Automatic lineup, offering collectors two distinct interpretations of the same sophisticated timepiece - one emphasizing classical luxury, the other embracing a more contemporary, sporty character.
