Grand Seiko unveils a new Spring Drive U.F.A. creation crafted in Ever-Brilliant Steel, a rare stainless-steel alloy celebrated for its radiant sheen and superior resistance to corrosion. The watch introduces a dial of remarkable beauty, inspired by the fleeting moment when the first light of dawn illuminates the frost-covered forests of Shinshu—the very heart of central Japan, where every Grand Seiko Spring Drive timepiece is brought to life.

At its core is the Spring Drive Caliber 9RB2, an ultra-slim movement measuring just 5.02mm in thickness with a 30mm diameter, delivering an extraordinary accuracy of ±20 seconds per year. This is achieved through refined processing techniques for the three-month-aged quartz oscillator and an all-new IC design. Much like the advanced 9RA series, each quartz oscillator undergoes testing across multiple temperature ranges, with the data programmed into a low-power IC for precise thermo-compensation. To further safeguard stability, the oscillator and sensor are vacuum-sealed, protecting them against temperature fluctuations, humidity, static electricity, and light.
