Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Swiss Prime Brands, Lang & Heyne announced the release of a special limited edition timepiece, the "Friedrich III Homage Tower Clock SPB 10th Anniversary Edition," epitomizing the pinnacle of horological artistry and craftsmanship.
The "Friedrich III Homage Tower Clock SPB 10th Anniversary Edition" is a tribute to the original tower clock of the main church in Glashütte, showcasing a remarkable blend of tradition and innovation. This exquisite timepiece features a striking black champlevé enamel dial, meticulously crafted entirely in-house. The champlevé process involves engraving the dial to create recessed areas that are then filled with enamel, resulting in a stunning, durable surface. This dial is not only a testament to its craftsmanship but also to its commitment of producing more than 90% of the movement components in-house.
The watch hands, inspired by the sun and moon motifs from the Glashütte tower clock, are delicately crafted to add a touch of celestial elegance. Additionally, the sun and moon are also finely engraved as mirrored heads in the movement. The engraving "one of 5" is also featured in the movement.
