A Date With Lab Grown Diamonds Leads To Oris' New Aquis Drop

Glamour and sparkle combine to showcase the new Oris Aquis Date Diamonds. At base, the Aquis Date Diamonds 36.50 mm is a high-performing dive watch, good for 30 bar (300 metres) of water resistance. But this model offers glamour, too, with a crème mother-of-pearl dial and lab-grown diamonds set into its rotating bezel.

The brief behind the Aquis Date 36.50 mm, launched last year, was a bespoke watch that was glamorous and jewel-like, but that also promised all the practical benefits associated with the Aquis Date, Oris' everyday toolwatch. In place, therefore, you’ll find an automatic with a uni-directional rotating bezel, a lumed lollipop running seconds hand, a corrosion-free stainless steel case with either a matching stainless steel bracelet or rubber strap, a screw-down crown with protection, and water resistance to 30 bar (300 metres). Now, Oris has added to the jewel-like feel with the application of diamonds, to create the Aquis Date Diamonds 36.50 mm. One variant has 11 indices each set with three brilliant-cut diamonds; the other has a bezel set with 44 brilliant-cut diamonds. In both, the diamonds are conflict-free and lab-grown, in keeping with Oris' sustainable watchmaking profile. Because who says glamour can’t also be responsible?
