Seiko 5 Sports Reimagines The ‘Time Sonar’ In Collaboration With HUF

Seiko 5 Sports introduces a limited-edition collaboration with HUF, drawing inspiration from an archival Seiko model from the 1970s, affectionately known as the “Time Sonar.” Reimagined through HUF’s distinctive lens, the timepiece blends vintage watchmaking with contemporary street culture. Founded in 2002 by professional skateboarder Keith Hufnagel, HUF began as a curated retail space before evolving into a globally respected lifestyle brand, rooted in the ethos of skateboarding and urban culture.

Staying true to this spirit, the watch features a semi-transparent dial in the brand’s signature “HUF Green,” a vibrant hue created exclusively for this collaboration and absent from the original model. The “HUF” logo appears at 6 o’clock, while the exhibition case back mirrors the dial’s colour and is adorned with a San Francisco–inspired graphic, paying homage to the brand’s origins. Marked “LIMITED EDITION” and individually numbered, the timepiece is presented in a special stainless steel box and accompanied by an original watch cloth, reinforcing its collectible appeal.
