Baume & Mercier Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary With The Riviera Collection

Marking the celebrations of its 50th anniversary, Baume & Mercier introduces a dynamic collection of timepieces dedicated to its women collectors. Since the inception of the Riviera collection in 1973, this is the first time that such an extensive collection of ladies' watches has been added to the portfolio.
Exhibiting the core design ethos of the Riviera watch with an inventive yet formal aesthetic highlighted by a signature dodecagonal case, the timepieces in the women’s collection launched at Watches and Wonders 2023 are restricted in proportion and perfectly fit for a woman’s finer arms.
As a timepiece, the women’s Riviera can be an ideal portrayal of the feminine spirit along with being a utilitarian offering with tough construction. The feminine iterations of the models are available in 33-mm and 36-mm with an array of five new dials, each showcasing the preferably scintillating finishes, shimmering colors, diamonds, and interchangeable straps so that women can style their timepieces to match their wardrobe outfits.
Timeless elegance from a dazzling gold dial
Launched at the Watches and Wonders 2023, Baume & Mercier unveiled the showstopper model of the collection: the Riviera M0A10730. The warm shimmering hues of its sun-satin gold dial, in a textured wave pattern highlight timekeeping, formats its transparent transfer with the Roman numerals, the riveted indexes coated in Superluminova, and the faceted gold hands. A discreet date aperture occurs at 3 o’clock. Further expressing the feminine and elegant charms are the four brilliant-cut diamonds set into the polished stainless steel bezel.
Dial colors in vibrant hues for a blooming summer aesthetic
Leading the eye towards the summer-friendly azure-hued dials are the two new models from Baume & Mercier launched at Watches and Wonders.
Capturing the summer tempo are the violet and blouse dialed Rivieras referenced as 10728 and 10727.

Evoking an unmissable impression of the reflections on the water at daybreak, the violet sun-satin dial on the Riviera M0A107287 is decorated with fine transparent transfer waves. Enriching the dynamic appeal of the dial, the tones and textures captivate the eye and pose as ideal backdrops for the Roman numerals, riveted indexes coated in Superluminova as well as the faceted rhodium-plated hands.
The Phi logo, symbolic of the golden ratio proportions of the Riviera models, is stamped on the octagonal crown. The hours and minutes tick smoothly away, powered by a quartz movement with an impressive ten-year autonomy, while the date appears in an aperture at 3 o’clock. The watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM or approx. 50m.

The blue dial color sun-satin dial on the Riviera M0A10727 instantly lets the wearer revisit the aquatic wonderscapes and adorned with a transparent wave transfer decoration, serves an aesthetic appeal that lets the wearer experience the magic of summer. The date appears in an aperture at 3 o’clock, while the hours and minutes are indicated on Roman numerals and riveted indexes coated in Superluminova by faceted rhodium-plated hands. The timekeeping duties are performed by a quartz movement with a ten-year autonomy. The octagonal crown features the brand’s emblem, the Phi logo, and the watch case is rated safe even at depths of up to 50m.

Celebrating the women collectors, Baume & Mercier has designed its latest Riviera women's watches launched at Watches and Wonders 2023 in a 33-mm case. Designed to grace the feminine wrist harmoniously, the Baume & Mercier Riviera women models evoke the brand’s pursuit of balance in aesthetics highlighted by flowing curves. The center of the polished, satin-finished stainless-steel case is prettily adorned with a central ring in 5N gold-plated PVD steel.
The signature dodecagonal case synonymous with the Riviera models
The twelve-faceted aesthetic of the case is emblematic of the collection and reflects the twelve hours on the dial. Half a century after the creation of the inceptive Riviera model, Baume & Mercier celebrates the perennial success of this designer timepiece and its innovative aesthetics. The visually arresting aesthetic is further amplified in the feminine Riviera version. The case back is also dodecagonal in continuation of the core aesthetic and is protected by a sapphire crystal, which may be personalized with an engraving.
An integrated, interchangeable strap
The latest versions of the Riviera models are mounted on the type of integrated metal strap which is distinctive to the collection. Made up of triple-rowed links in polished and satin-finished stainless steel, the bracelet perfectly surrounds the case and visually extends it in the continuing pursuit of natural harmony. The straps are interchangeable and may be detached and replaced without the need for any tools, thanks to an ingenious spring bar system. All the models feature a triple folding buckle with security push-pieces and an easy adjustment system.
With these new models, Baume & Mercier honors women’s watchmaking with their perfect feminine proportions, sophisticated dials, and delicate finishes.
