Hublot used the toughest materials for the new trio, creating another show-stopper with scratch-resistant surfaces deeply carved in an irreversible style, precisely like a real tattoo. The master tattoo artist's designs alternate and are placed on the case and bezel of a 45 mm diameter case made of Magic Gold or Ceramic, with the mechanism/disc-hands taking the form of a geometric tattoo that extends to the rubber strap. The HUB1240 manufacturing self-winding Unico chronograph movement, viewable beneath a skeleton dial and a clear case back, is reveal by this geometry. The Magic Gold version is limit to 100 pieces, while the Black Magic in full black ceramic is limit to 250, and the Green Ceramic is limit to 200.
MAGIC GOLD - Scratch-resistant gold wasn't a thing until Hublot came up with Magic Gold. It is the world's first and only scratch-resistant 18-karat gold alloy, invented and patented by the watch manufacturer. It is famously difficult to machine, with a hardness of about 1000 Vickers. The CERAMIC is even more scratch-resistant: standard ceramic has a hardness of 1200 Vickers, whereas Hublot ceramic has a hardness of 1500 Vickers.
So it's a choice between the enchantment of tattooed scratch-resistant gold and the extraordinary durability of ceramic... But one thing is certain: neither of them will be able to resist getting a Sang Bleu tattoo!
