The Limited Edition Unveils A Unique Ten-Piece Collaboration: Flytrack On The Road By Singer Reimagined

The Limited Edition, an independent watch retailer in the United Kingdom, has presented the spectacular Flytrack 'On The Road' limited edition by Singer Reimagined, a ten-piece collaboration with one of the most exciting and innovative young watch companies to have emerged in recent years.

Longtime friends Pietro Tomajer of The Limited Edition and Marco Borraccino of Singer Reimagined were inspired to create the Flytrack On The Road edition by the great rite of passage that is a cross-country road trip across the United States. The novel "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac was published in 1950 and has since become a cultural icon.

The Flytrack "On The Road" is an eye-catching timepiece with a cool, streamlined design. Its brushed and polished metal surfaces of its barrel-shaped case and the tight weave of its black textile strap emphasize its sporty and highly technical personality.

The Singer Reimagined Flytrack collection is a pure celebration of the most innovative and ingenious reinvention of the chronograph complication in its over two hundred years of history. Each watch in the collection is powered by the Singer-designed Flytrack Calibre AG6364 manual winding movement, which was developed in collaboration with Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and his team at Agenhor and features a central second hand that converts into a sixty-second flyback pointer with push-button instant reset

The Flytrack On The Road edition is a masterclass in contemporary design, clearly influenced by the classic sports watch designs of the '60s and '70s, and presented in an elaborate multi-part case made of a smoothly curved stainless steel body with a circular brushed finish that contrasts with its polished Grade 5 titanium bezel, crown, and single pusher.

Due to the watch's slim bezel profile, the sapphire crystal covers nearly the entire front surface of the timepiece. The bold appearance of the Flytrack On The Road on the wrist is supported by a combination of black, grey, and bright orange, with powerful Super-LumiNova accents.

Even though the Flytrack's time display may appear puzzling at first because it lacks a traditional hour hand on the dial, you'll quickly find that it is actually quite straightforward and simple to use. The dial is divided into sections, with a rotating ring of matte black ceramic aluminium marking the outer edge and a luminous orange triangle marking the hours, making the time easy to read at a glance no matter the lighting. The semi-skeletonized minutes hand is further accentuated with a luminous orange insert, and the orange rehaut that separates the inner and outer dials serves as a reference for the hours.

The Flytrack is centered on the third hand, which performs dual functions. Regularly, it sweeps constantly as a seconds pointer to complement the minute and hour indicators; however, when the pusher at two o'clock is depressed, the hand instantly resets to zero and then, when the pusher is released, it takes off to time a brief event of less than sixty seconds.In addition, the process can be repeated, and the flyback pointer will reset and restart via a heart-shaped cam, allowing for the precise timing of multiple events in rapid succession.

The sapphire caseback reveals the exclusive Singer AG6364 manual winding movement, co-created by Singer and concept specialists Agenhor for this collection. The movement is a descendant of Singer's Calibre 6361, which won the Aiguille award in the fiercely contested GPHG Chronograph category in 2018.

With a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz) and a power reserve of an impressive sixty hours, the movement is comprised of 314 parts that are made and finished to the high standards of haute horlogerie by Agenhor.

Each of the ten pieces of the Flytrack On The Road edition is individually numbered and marked with a solid 18ct gold numeral that is set into the top of the case, slightly above the five o'clock position. High-tech fabric strap with orange stitching and a stainless steel folding clasp complete the package.
