Watches And Wonders 2025: Hublot Celebrates 20 Years Of The Big Bang With A Commemorative Collection
In a scheme of brands that have multiple centuries of history, there’s still a bit of a rebel child in the mix. That is Hublot. Their established trademark of innovative fusion and bold designs calls for all kinds of responses and yet they continue to be a permeating force in the department of high complications and ultra avant-garde. A brand conceived in 1980 and heavily directed by the stewardship of Jean Claude Biver, Hublot’s creative thinking metamorphosised to a holy echelon with the introduction of the Big Bang in 2005. It was iconic for a multitude of features and it’s iconic still. Reinvented, refined and fused with high-tech, the Big Bang turns 20 this year and what we get at Watches and Wonders 2025 is a philosophical amalgamation of its most exclusive selections in terms of materials, colors, mechanics and forms.
The Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary collection celebrates a timepiece flourishing in its asides from tradition and having been established as an icon for perpetually pushing the limits of the unknown.

Two Decades Of Disruption, Innovation, And Iconic Design
When Hublot launched the Big Bang in 2005, it didn’t just enter the world of haute horlogerie - it detonated it. Two decades later, the shockwaves are still being felt. To celebrate this milestone, Hublot unveils a capsule collection of five limited-edition timepieces, each a fusion of past brilliance and future-forward innovation. These are not mere reissues, they are reinterpretations, blending the DNA of the original Big Bang with the cutting-edge evolution of the Big Bang Unico. The result? A series of watches that don’t just commemorate history - they elevate it.
A Fusion Of Legacy And Progression
The Big Bang 20th Anniversary collection is more than a tribute - it’s a masterclass in horological evolution. The redesigned 43mm case pays homage to the earliest Big Bang models with pinched lugs, a knurled bezel edge, and the collection’s unmistakable silhouette. The dials feature a carbon fiber-inspired relief motif, iconic riveted Arabic numerals and Super-LumiNova-filled indexes, a nod to both the original and the Unico generations.

At its heart beats the Unico automatic chronograph movement, now fitted with a commemorative gold rotor marking two decades of horological excellence. The dials feature two counters dedicated for small seconds at the 9 o’clock position and one for tracking the chronograph minutes situated at 3 o’clock. The structured rubber strap, reminiscent of the first Big Bangs, integrates the One Click interchangeable system - a perfect marriage of nostalgia and modernity.
Five Editions, Five Statements
The latest Hublot Big Band 20th Anniversary models are introduced as a collection of five limited-edition timepieces at the Watches and Wonders 2025. On their release, the newly appointed CEO of the brand - Julian Tornare expressed, “Hublot Big Bang is undoubtedly one of the modern icons of 21st century watchmaking. This year, we’re not only looking back at all that Hublot has achieved through the Big Bang, but also looking towards the future and all the potential it still holds and possibilities it offers. I am immensely proud of what the Big Bang 20th Anniversary capsule collection represents by bridging the nostalgia of 20 years ago with the present and future of what the Hublot manufacture is capable of accomplishing. Here’s to the next 20 years!”

Here are the five models launched as part of the Big Bang 20th Anniversary collection.
Titanium Ceramic And King Gold Ceramic
The original fusion is reborn with the Hublot Big Bang Titanium Ceramic & King Gold Ceramic. These models revisit the steel-and-gold legacy of the 2005 Big Bang, now refined with polished bezels, rubber-tipped pushers, and an even more dynamic 3D carbon-patterned dial. The red accents on the chronograph counters echo the collection’s bold beginnings.

Red Magic Ceramic
This iteration marks a celebration of Hublot’s mastery of colored ceramics. Introduced in 2018, vibrant red ceramic is notoriously difficult to produce - yet Hublot has perfected it. Paired with a carbon-textured dial, this edition is a daring statement of innovation.

All Black
The disruptive icon returns with launch of the Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary All Black. First launched in 2006, the All Black defied expectations with its monochromatic stealth. This anniversary edition elevates the concept with a matte and polished black ceramic case, a first-ever carbon-patterned dial in an All Black model, and an allure of “invisible visibility.”

Magic Gold
The original Magic Gold was the world’s first scratch-resistant 18K gold timepiece. Developed in-house, the new anniversary edition Magic Gold blends the brilliance of gold with the resilience of ceramic. This iteration pairs the revolutionary alloy with a carbon dial and gilt accents, creating a futuristic yet timeless aesthetic.

A Legacy In Motion
The Big Bang 20th Anniversary collection is more than a celebration - it’s a declaration of Hublot’s unrelenting spirit. Limited in production and rich in heritage, these timepieces reimagine the spirit of the past Big Bang models in a wonderful amalgam of colors, materials and aesthetics. The Hublot Big Bang has often stayed distant from everything that’s considered conventional in modern watchmaking and in doing so, established a distinct flavor of forms and features which yield a novel collectability attribute. Despite the perpetuity of nuanced aspiration in regards to watchmaking, the latest Big Bang 20th Anniversary collection offers timepieces that feel very palatable for mass consumption however restricted by their production numbers.
