Frederique Constant is reiterating its belief in classic and elegant women’s watchmaking in 2022. This is the spirit of the Slimline Ladies Moonphase collection, whose 30mm timepieces are designed to exude charm and femininity.

Frederique Constant is introducing two new versions that commemorate a return to classic, refined, and timeless watchmaking, following the popularity of its models with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond markings. Each model now has an opaline dial with pearl black attached stick markers. Here, in the city where Frédérique Constant has its own Manufacture, the classic characteristics of great Geneva watchmaking can be discovered.

Frederique Constant’s Slimline Ladies Moonphase: Unapologetic classicism
Each model now has an opaline dial with pearl black attached stick markers.

Only an “XII” with Roman numerals, which did not exist on prior generations, stood out at midday. A fresh motion work runs around the dial, accented every 5 minutes by Arabic numerals, and finished off at 6 o’clock by the “Swiss Made” pledge of pure excellence.

The “onion” crown at 3 o’clock – crowned by a beautiful blue cabochon – reflects the “sector dials” associated with the golden days of watchmaking from the 1920s to the 1940s, an aesthetic decision underlined by the unobtrusive “railway” interpretation of the motion work.

An open crescent displaying Moonphases at 6 P.M

These two new Slimline Ladies Moonphase watches, on the other hand, profit from modern watchmaking advancements: their heartbeats with the FC-206 quartz movement, which guarantees 5 years of performance. It has two leaf-shaped central hands (hours and minutes) that are similarly pearl black and have a soft and graceful curve in the centre.

At 6 p.m. they fly above an open crescent displaying the Moon’s phases, presenting the Earth’s satellite surrounded by stars against a dark blue background, evoking the night sky. These two new versions are offered on a blue leather strap with matching over stitches – easy to replace thanks to the “quick change” mechanism – or an attractive flexible steel strap with 5 polished links for a snug fit on the wrist. Frederique Constant living up to its aim of democratizing luxury Swiss watches, yet again!
