At Watches & Wonders 2022, Tudor dropped five new sport-chic timepieces. Retaining its classic touch, the brand has launched four new Black Bay’s, inspired by the original Divers’ watches, and an upgraded Tudor Royal to celebrate its regal legacy.

Sporty and sophisticated, the Tudor Royal timepieces embody the rich legacy of the Maison. Available in four sizes—28 mm, 34 mm, 38 mm and 41 mm— in stainless steel or gold and steel, the self-winding watches feature many distinctive qualities. The 28 mm iteration boasts a diamond-set bezel while the others bear a notched bezel with alternating surface polish and cut grooves. There are nine dials to choose from in sunray satin finish or mother-of-pearl. The sunray motif breathes life into the regal essence of this timepiece. The satin-brushed and polished 316L steel or steel and yellow gold cases come in four colours, including black, silver, champagne-hue or blue. With baton hands in luminescent material and date function and day of the week for the 41 mm iteration, the dial offers an aesthetic visual appeal.

Fitted with Manufacture Calibres, including the new MT5201, these unisex timepieces evoke a sense of luxury and style. Infused with plenty of bling and curves, the upgraded watch comes in four sizes—31 mm, 36 mm, 39 mm and 41 mm. Crafted with steel and yellow gold, the timepiece features a fixed bezel that is also available in a diamond-set iteration. The satin-brushed and polished case in 316L steel or yellow gold is curved to further enhance its versatility. Within the case, the dial comes in three colours, black, silver and a decorated anthracite or champagne-colour. On the decorated dial, a small star rests in the centre with stylised points—a motif that is repeated across the dial. The timepiece also features “Snowflake” hands, characteristic to TUDOR divers’ watches from 1969, and a give-link bracelet with a “T-fit” clasp.

The iconic watch gets a steel and gold upgrade, featuring warm hues and a classic touch. Fashioned for travellers, the timepiece offers three time zones, enabled by an angular “Snowflake” hand for reference time, shorter “Snowflake” hand by a jumping hour for local time and a 24-hour bidirectional rotatable bezel in yellow gold. The bezel boasts two colours, brown and black, to indicate day and night. It also features a date aperture at 3 o’ clock on a grained matt black dial. Powered by calibre MT5652, the 41 mm watch is robust and reliable, and it is waterproof to 200 metres.

The dual time zone watch also has a fixed steel bezel and a range of new upgrades suited to the modern traveller’s needs. There’s a redesigned winding crown that offers maximum grip. The grained matt black dial with applied markers now comes in monobloc luminous ceramic, enhancing the appearance of the timepiece. For comfortable size adjustment, there’s a new bracelet clasp with a TUDOR “T-fit” system.
