Watch connoisseurs are you ready for the next chapter of Watches & Wonders? At the end of the Watches and Wonders Geneva, 38 prominent watch brands showcased their new items to an audience of approximately 22,000 people, with a global digital reach of more than 300 million. A’salon of many wonders’ was really what the largest watchmaker summit in Geneva had to offer. Many foreign launches and an extensive physical and digital offering, including panel discussions and keynotes that created beneficial dialogues and hundreds of millions of views on social media, were on display.
That being said, Watches and Wonders has released its final 2022 schedule and its initial 2023 preliminary dates. Before returning to Geneva from March 27 through April 2, 2023, two significant events in Hainan and Shanghai will be held in China during the final quarter of the year.
It’s continuously on the move, perfecting and reinventing its tourist experience along the way in Geneva, Hainan, and Shanghai. There are two more major events scheduled for Asia that are still being fine-tuned by the Exhibition’s organizers.
The first of these will be an extended event that will run from October to December 2022 in both Haikou and Sanya on Hainan Island. The second location in Haikou is a first for the 2020 and 2021 calendars since Sanya was already on the list. ‘Watches and Wonders Hainan’, named after the province in which Haikou is the capital, and Sanya is located on the swanky coast to the south, brings together the two events.
WATCHES AND WONDERS IN HAIKOU will be an occasion to commemorate the upcoming launch of a brand-new complex in September, in partnership with the CTG (China Tourism Group). Workshops, labs, seminars, and other special events will be held on a 500-square-meter space over the course of many weeks for both collectors and the general public. Companies will take advantage of the expo to host exclusive events in their boutiques and to set up temporary stands just for the occasion.
Meanwhile, in Sanya, the CDF Mall, which has helped establish the coastal resort as a tourist destination, will once again host Watches and Wonders. The event will feature a variety of instructive and immersive experiences. It is now a part of the Watches and Wonders experience for the full watchmaking process to be documented on social media.
This year’s Watches and Wonders event in Shanghai will take place from November 23 to 27, 2022. The Pavilion at the West Bund Art Center, where this year’s event will be held, has been completely redesigned for the benefit of collectors, retailers, press, and VIPs. Open-format, light-filled, and airy, it will feature the year’s latest releases from the world of watchmaking, as well as a number of Watch and Wonders Shanghai specials. Each of the five days will cater to a distinct demographic in order to provide a warm welcome and memorable experience for all attendees, as well as the highest level of health protection.
It has also been announced that the next Watches and Wonders Geneva will take place from March 27 to April 2, 2023.
We don’t know about you, but we are truly excited to see what the next chapter holds!
