Glashütte Original is celebrating 180 years of watchmaking with the launch of a special PanoMaticLunar Anniversary Edition, limited to just 180 pieces.
The model draws inspiration from the origins of timekeeping in Glashütte, when early watchmakers relied on the night sky for precision. A dark-blue aventurine dial, a first for Glashütte, mimics the night sky with a moonphase display giving the sparkle of a stars. At 2 o’clock, a moon phase display shows a small moon made of white mother-of-pearl to complete the theme. The dial is encased in a 40mm platinum case and features white gold hands coated with Super-LumiNova, solid gold indices, and the signature Panorama Date display.
