Kurono Tokyo Launches The STAR DIAL, A Special Project Series Close To Hajime Asaoka’s Heart

Kurono Tokyo introduces the new 34mm STAR DIAL, a special project series close to Hajime Asaoka’s heart. This watch is an adaptation of Hajime Asaoka's Tsunami 'As Time Goes By' atelier watch, unveiled in Geneva in 2024. It has been specifically tailored for Kurono Tokyo, featuring high-polished steel applied ‘star’ indices paired with a unique Art Deco font, meticulously designed by Hajime-sensei, character by character.

The stars were mass-produced based on Hajime-sensei's design using molds and forging techniques. The results were so impressive that sensei is now considering creating a complete version of the Tsunami 'As Time Goes By' with these stars. This new iteration might be unveiled in Geneva in 2025, and, like the original, will be a non-commercial item.
