Swiss independents have disrupted the watch world in recent years, and now Norqain is staking its claim amongst them with a bold new move. The young brand has unveiled two hotly-anticipated additions to its adventure-ready Wild ONE family at Dubai Watch Week 2023 - but it’s the glimmering Wild ONE Gold that steals the show.

Finally, Norqain has spread its wings and soared into luxury territory with its first-ever foray into solid gold. And what a glorious ascent it is. Crafted with ethically-sourced 18K red gold and cutting-edge carbon composite, the Wild ONE Gold brings haute horology to Norqain's rugged yet refined aesthetic. It's a striking power move for the brand on the global watch stage.

The Wild ONE Gold combines brushed and polished 18K red gold with Norqain's proprietary carbon-fiber composite material NORTEQ in a unique tri-part case construction. The top section of the 42mm case is cast in solid 5N red gold sourced from Swiss company PX Group, while the bottom section is made of black NORTEQ. Sandwiched between is the Wild ONE's signature shock-absorbing rubber compartment.

Limited to just 99 pieces engraved "FIRST EDITION, ONE of 99," the watch is inspired by desert sunrise colors. It contains the COSC-certified Norqain Manufacture Calibre NN20/1 movement visible through a sapphire caseback. The Wild ONE Gold comes on an integrated rubber strap with a gold or black NORTEQ buckle and is priced at CHF 11,950-13,950.

Complementing the gold model is the new Wild ONE All Black, encapsulating the mood of a moonless desert night. Its 42mm case is entirely black NORTEQ over rubber and houses the same Manufacture movement. With its stealthy monochrome aesthetic, robust all-black construction, and 200M water resistance, the All Black is built for adventure. It is priced at CHF 4,950.

Both models have three-tiered black dials with Norqain's signature geometric motif, Super-LumiNova hands, and diamond-cut markers. The releases fortify the young brand's reputation for innovation and versatile design as envisioned by Norqain's CEO Ben Küffer and advisor Jean-Claude Biver. They also advance their ambitious sustainability efforts - the NORTEQ composite contains 60% bio-based material.

With its first foray into gold, Norqain has added luxury appeal to the utilitarian Wild ONE. The new watches build buzz for the brand on the global stage, debuting at a high-profile event like Dubai Watch Week. For Norqain, the future shines bright like the glint of morning sunlight off the dunes.
