H. Moser & Cie Introduces A New 40mm Case And Arctic Blues In The Pioneer Collection

We’ve already been tantalized. And now, it’s time to go, straight into the ‘Arctic Blues’. H. Moser & Cie. releases a new 40mm case for their acclaimed Pioneer collection. The Pioneer model is a true all-terrain timepiece, as it can be worn on land and — thanks to its water resistance to 12 ATM — underwater.
The H. Moser & Cie. HMC 200 automatic caliber provides the beating heart for the three-hand version, while the HMC 804 Manufacture movement with a flying tourbillon and double hairspring powers the more complex version. The Pioneer Centre Seconds Arctic Blue and the Pioneer Tourbillon Arctic Blue, both of which feature a dial in various shades of blue, are sure to grab attention.
The two new creations from H. Moser & Cie. are like a breath of fresh air, especially the ones with the stunning "Arctic Blue" dials. The brand's logo is prominently displayed at 12 o'clock, set in transparent lacquer for a minimalist look, like a hidden signature that has been revealed. Artistic and functional, it complements the steel case of the Pioneer Centre Seconds and Pioneer Tourbillon, which were originally released with a diameter of 42.8 mm but are now also available in a 40 mm version that is at home on both dry land and at depths of up to 12 ATM.
Both the Pioneer Tourbillon and the Pioneer Centre Seconds Arctic Blue are built to take on the world by the horns, with an emphasis on legibility and comfort in a sleek, modern design that doesn't draw attention to itself. These timepieces have leaf-shaped hands that are also filled with Super-LumiNova®, in addition to having faceted applique indices topped with Super-LumiNova® dots.
The Pioneer Tourbillon Arctic Blue is powered by a technological marvel at its core. The HMC 804 features an automatic Manufacture caliber with a double hairspring, and it was developed and manufactured in-house by Precision Engineering AG, a subsidiary of H. Moser & Cie. These two hairsprings are so well matched that they cancel out each other's expansion, which greatly enhances accuracy and isochronism in the never-ending quest for perfection.
Additionally, the frictional effect experienced by a single hairspring is mitigated by the paired hairsprings, resulting in enhanced isochronism. Finally, the tourbillon's innovative construction makes it a serviceable component that can be removed from the movement and replaced with another. The HMC 200 automatic movement is the heart of the Pioneer Centre Seconds Arctic Blue. This caliber has an internal regulator that was designed, developed, and produced by the same team that created the rest of the watch. The HMC 200 caliber is 100% Swiss and 100% Moser; it features the brand's signature double stripes on the main plate and bridges, an oversized engraved oscillating weight, and a minimum power reserve of three days.
