In a similar vein, today, Jacob & Co. unveils the Epic X Sher-e-Punjab Edition, a powerful tribute to Sikh heritage and the timeless legacy of Punjab. This creation honours the spirit of the Khalsa which was founded by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 through a bold design infused with sacred symbolism and masterful horology.
The 44-mm skeletonised case, crafted in lightweight titanium or 18K rose gold, becomes a stage for meaning. Its vertical bridges are engraved with the Roaring Lion, evoking strength, dignity, and fearless leadership; the Khanda, embodying spiritual sovereignty and the balance of power and service; and Ek Onkar, a reminder of divine oneness and eternal faith. Along the inner bezel, the sacred greeting “Sat Sri Akal” is engraved a phrase that resonates with honour, truth, and timeless grace.
A striking blue rubber strap with a honeycomb texture pays tribute to the vibrant colours of Punjab, adding contrast and depth to the design. The openworked dial reveals the JCAM02 manual-winding skeleton calibre, created exclusively for Jacob & Co. by Concepto. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement is composed of 158 intricately finished components. Its vertically aligned barrel and balance wheel, sandblasted bridges, delicate perlage, bevelled angles, and 21 rubies in polished chatons showcase traditional Swiss artistry at its finest. Offering a 48-hour power reserve and water resistance up to 100 metres, the watch is as wearable as it is meaningful.
