Kurono unveiled its 2025 anniversary timepiece, the Jubilee Sensu EOL '白藍' (Shiraai), marking a significant release that coincides with Hajime Asaoka’s 60th Diamond Jubilee. This special edition revives the popular Sensu NOS design, now in a striking metallic baby blue hue known as '白藍', a nod to the 2021 Seiji. The silver-plated guilloché dial showcases intricate craftsmanship, featuring a radiant chrysanthemum-like wave pattern, the signature Sensu motif at the power reserve indicator, and railway-track guilloché with polished steel domes marking each hour. Completing the aesthetic are black Kanji hour markers, adding a distinct cultural flourish.
Powering this elegant piece is a rare, discontinued cal.9133 end-of-life (EOL) movement, made even more exclusive by Hajime Asaoka’s modifications. To achieve a cleaner, more symmetrical dial, the calendar window and its geartrain were removed, transforming the movement into a unique mechanical canvas. With only a limited number of these EOL movements available, the Jubilee Sensu EOL '白藍' stands as a true collector’s piece—an artistic and technical tribute to both Kurono’s journey and Asaoka’s enduring legacy.
