Watches And Wonders Shanghai: The Excitement of Fine Watchmaking Shines
The third edition of the Watches and Wonders Shanghai watch fair concluded on a high note this past weekend, bringing together watch enthusiasts and professionals to discover the latest novelties.
The event saw a total of 12,000 visitors over 5 days, including nearly 5,000 general public and end-client visitors during the weekend. Social media shares expanded the reach to 75 million people. The excitement was evident throughout the event halls, especially with the presence of Chinese celebrities like Dilraba Dilmurat and Ning Zetao.’
The exhibitors showcased new watch releases and innovations. The 14 prestigious Maisons presenting included A. Lange & Söhne, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Roger Dubuis, and Vacheron Constantin. Introductory workshops, exhibitions, and career presentations provided an immersive experience for guests.
"We are glad to see keen interest from younger generations. Our mission is to inspire new passions and vocations in watchmaking," stated Matthieu Humair, CEO of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation.
The weekend conferences like "Iconic Watches" and "Trends & Novelties 2023" were well-attended. The WeChat platform allowed the public to follow the event in real-time.
