At The Hour Markers, every day is a reason to celebrate watches, but World Watch Day is extra special. It’s a chance to shine a spotlight on the artistry, craft, and sheer intricacy behind the world of horology. From dazzling complications to sleek contemporary designs, this day is about connecting watch enthusiasts, collectors, and the curious alike to the stories and people who make watches so magical.

One of the delightful traditions in watch culture is the 10:10 moment. You’ll notice it in almost every watch advertisement or display the hands perfectly framing the dial at ten minutes past ten. It’s not just for symmetry; it’s a subtle celebration of time itself. The position resembles a gentle smile, giving the watch a welcoming, balanced aesthetic, and it ensures that brand logos, complications, and subdials remain visible and unobstructed. For The Hour Markers, highlighting 10:10 is more than a design choice it’s a nod to the joy, and attention to detail that defines watchmaking culture. On World Watch Day, it’s a small but iconic reminder that every moment is worth celebrating. In our attempt to educate, enlighten and celebrate watchmaking culture, The Hour Markers has touched upon various verticals of the watch industry.

Conversations That Inspire

There’s nothing like hearing from the people who have shaped the industry. Through lively chats with CEO of watch giants like A. Lange & Söhne, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Titan and many more, readers get insider insights on brand philosophies, upcoming innovations, and the exciting paths of watchmaking today. It’s less boardroom and more storytelling as the CEOs share their passion, their inspirations, and occasionally a behind-the-scenes anecdote that shows the human side of luxury watches.

Strength in Partnerships

The Hour Markers’ partnership with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) amplifies its role as a hub for the watch community. These partnerships aren’t just logos on a page they’re about sharing knowledge, celebrating excellence, and bringing together enthusiasts from around the world. Together, they create a network where craft, culture and creativity thrive.

Learning From the Best

Education can be fun, and The Hour Markers proves it. With panel discussions featuring industry experts the topics revolve around watches as investments with FutureGrail, Women in watchmaking with Watch Femme, and the passion that drives collectors with Frédérique Constant, readers get a peek into trends, technical secrets, and the stories behind the watches. These sessions are lively conversations that make even the most complex horology concepts feel approachable and exciting.

Experiences That Stick

One of the most fun ways The Hour Markers brings watchmaking alive is through immersive experiences. India Watch Weekend is a two day event hosted by The Hour Markers where watch lovers connect and celebrate their mutual passion for watchmaking and watch collecting across the city of Mumbai. What began in 2024 is now a global event which sees collectors arriving from various cities, just to be a part of this exciting initiative.

Behind The Bezel is another initiative organized by The Hour Markers which allows watch lovers to take a look beneath the dial. This includes a workshop with a watchmaker which lets the guests disassemble and reassemble a watch movement. From Mumbai to Chennai and beyond, guests get a front-row seat to the meticulous artistry of watchmaking. Feeling the weight of a movement in your hand, seeing artisans delicately engrave, polish, or enamel these are the moments that turn appreciation into passion.
