Ulysse Nardin

Ulysse Nardin was founded in Le Locle, Switzerland in 1823. To make ends meet during the harsh winters, many Swiss families turned to making clocks and other timepieces. At a young age, Ulysse Nardin began his apprenticeship with his horologist father, Léonard-Frédéric Nardin. After that, he went on to hone his craft with contemporary masters of precision watchmaking, Frédéric-William Dubois and Louis JeanRichard-dit-Bressel.

Very quickly, the brand’s minute repeaters, complicated watches, and pocket chronometers became sought-after commodities. The Kering Group’s Luxury Watches and Jewellery Divisions acquired Ulysse Nardin in 2014.

The company is well known for making marine chronometer wristwatches, but has lately expanded into high-end timepieces for men and women, which Kering fully supports. Ulysse Nardin joined the Foundation de la Haute Horlogerie, Swiss watchmaking’s highest honor. Ulysse Nardin’s inventiveness has made its ultra-precise clocks famous for 174 years. The brand’s many models, including its most famous ones, are arranged into five collections: the Marine Collection, the Diver Collection, the Freak Collection, the Executive Collection, and the Classico Collection.
