In 1833, at the heart of a remote valley, a brilliant inventor named Antoine LeCoultre set up a small workshop handcrafting exceptional timepieces imbued with a strong spirit of innovation. His workshop went on to become Jaeger-LeCoultre. Renowned French watchmaker Edmond Jaeger who supplied chronometers to the French Navy challenged Swiss Manufacturers to produce an ultra-thin movement. Jacques David LeCoultre took up this challenge and brought to life through this alliance, the most extraordinary ultra thin calibre creations and the name Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to be a pioneer in the watchmaking industry and remains one of the few true Manufactures that produces all watches in their entirety, from concept to realisation, with more than 180 skills under its own roof.
